With the 47th pick of the 2011 Draft, the Rams take Lance Kendricks, TE, Wisconsin

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!!
Ram fans are gonna whine and complain just like they did with the Avery pick and the Laurinaitis pick, then when the season starts everybody will be singing a different tune... If Devaney has proved anything, its that he can spot a unique prospect when others cannot. Kendricks looks a lot like Aaron Hernandez, only a 7lbs lighter, just wait, this kid is a big play waiting to happen.

nobody complained with Laurinaitis-- he fell to the second round that was a gift....
Avery hasn't been good, and We could have had Aaron Hernandez (twice)......

Kendricks isn't gonna improve our 26th ranked offense to get us over the hump ...now there is twice as much pressure on a 3rd round pick --- Just look at many of the TE's that will be available at our spot in Round 3 and watch all the RB's and WR's we lost a shot at between our Round 2 to Round 3 pick....


He is a Round 3 talent, on a team that needs immediate impact players that are athletes...and he isn't Round 2 quality.....

hopefully he starts and gives us everythin he has....but we need to really do well in round 3, 4, 5....

I quite like this pick.

We've procured an immediate starter at TE, whereas we probably wouldn't have gotten an immediate starter in any of the WR prospects. It follows the same logic as drafting a guy like Jermaine Gresham if he were available last year. He's a big, strong, quick receiver and he'll change the way that we use our WRs - things will open up underneath for Amendola, to begin with. We might not have a specified #1 target, but what we DO have are a bunch of versatile receivers who will open things up for each other. It's a sensible pick.

I will say this...I fear we go through the draft and free agency and Devaney says (again) "we really need to do better finding a backup running back for Jackson."

I like Reggy Bush to back up Jackson, He is totaly different style than Jackson and would not challenge him for his slot. Plus Reggy can catch and be a wide reciever for us. Remeber the Saints & Bears championship game.
