According to NFL.com, Chris Long renegotiated his contract

In the transactions reports section it states this:

    • St. Louis Rams 4/19 Chris Long (DE) Signed, Renegotiated Contract (pd-->pd) (signed, renegotiated contract (pd-->pd)).

Havent been able to find anything official as to what changed in it, could just be something small but figured id mention it.

Moving money around into guaranteed salary for some cap relief. Business as usual!

    Quoting Jim Thomas on Twitter...

Rams restructure contract of DE Chris Long, creating $4.5 million of much-needed cap room in 2013.

    Rotoworld elaborates...

The Rams were right up against the salary cap with less than $1 million in room, so the move was necessary. Long converted $6 million of his $13.25 million 2013 base salary into a roster bonus. The 28-year-old former No. 2 overall pick signed a five-year, $60.31 million deal last July.

I feel like Demoff has an easier time getting the Rams cap situation under control than any of us would on a madden franchise.

I'm glad Kroenke kept him around when he booted the last regime.
