    Rams vs. Seahawks

Alright, today I'm going to do a Rams vs. Seahawks position by position comparison today.

    QBs-
Marc Bulger is one of the best in the league. Hasslebeck did very well last year but Bulger is just too good. Hasslebeck however has been able to stay healthy unlike Bulger. Hopefully with a new head coach Bulger won't get hit as much.
    Advantage- Rams

    RBs-
Now this one is obvious. I don't think Alexander will do as well. That was just one year. However he has been consistently playing at a very high level just not as high. Jackson has had injuries and hasn't been used properly. Linehan will give him the ball much more than Martz had. So this will be closer than expected but Alexander will no doubt be the pick.
    Advantage- Rams

    WRs-
The Rams have Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce, and Kevin Curtis. Holt has been the best receiver in the NFL over the last 6 years. Isaac Bruce is getting old but this guy can still play and if thrown the ball enough times is capable of getting you 1,000 yards. The one thing that will hold Bruce from reaching 1,000 yards would either be an injury or Kevin Curtis. Kevin Curtis is a great young receiver. He is overlooked but everytime that Bruce goes down with an injury Curtis has stepped in and done well enough to start for most teams in the NFL. Shaun McDonald will get overlooked because of the other three but if it weren't for Curtis this guy could be a pretty productive receiver. The Seahawks have Jackson and Engram and added Burleson. Burleson will be great for this offense. Jackson and Engram are okay, nothing special but the addition of Burleson will help make this team a farily good receiving corp. The Seahawks have improved but they have a ways to go if they plan on catching the Rams at this position.

    OL-
Orlando Pace and Walter Jones are both phenomonal. Those two along with Jonathan Ogden have been the top Offensive Lineman in the league for several years now. Those two basically even out so now we have to look at the rest of the line. At guard the Rams have Adam Timmerman and it for a while looked like Claude Terrell but it looks like it might be Richie Incognito now. Timmerman has been a pretty good guard for awhile now but he may not have a whole lot of miles left in the tank. Terrell is a massive guard and should be good some day but Incognito has been working harder. Incognito was a pretty good lineman for Nebraska but was kicked off and in college he fit the description of a steroid user well. These two Guards should be good but they are young. The Seahawks have Chris Gray and Floyd Womack. Gray isn't very quick or strong but will work hard. Womack is a big Guard that will do pretty well for the Seahawks if he can stay healthy, which he hasn't been doing. At center the Rams have Andy McCollum. McCollum is old like Timmerman. He is well past his prime and injuries are a concern. McCollum should still be a decent center. The Seahawks have Robbie Tobeck and he is one of the better centers in the league. At right tackle (almost forgot these guys ). Alex Barron is a talented player with a wing span of a 747 and an enormous wing span. He is young but this guy should be fairly good this year and will only get better. Sean Locklear will start for the Seahawks. He won't be just fantastic but this guy will hold his own. This is a very tough call on who has the better line.
Advantage- I'm going to give the Seahawks a slight advantage even with the loss of Hutchinson

    DL-
The Rams have Leonard Little, La'Roi Glover, Jimmy Kennedy, and Anthony Hargrove. Leonard Little is one of the best pass rushers in the game and draws lots of double teams. La'Roi Glover is getting old so Claude Wroten will have to learn fast so Glover can have some relief. Glover will hopefully bring a second pass rush threat to help out Little. Jimmy Kennedy is developing into one of the best DTs in the league. Look for him to make his first pro bowl appearance this year. Anthony Hargrove is a talented DE. He never really got it going until the end of the season last year. Hopefully he can keep playing like that. With the new defensive coordinator this group of lineman could be a very good one but there isn't any proven depth. The Seahawks have Chuck Darby and Rocky Bernard as their tackles and the two former Rams DEs Grant Wistrom and Bryce Fisher. Bernard and Darby were not highly thought of last year but they are pretty solid. They won't win you games but they won't lose you games. At DE they have a pretty good group. They have caused the Rams to have trouble getting two good DEs as they signed these two DEs in free agency. Grant Wistrom is somewhat undersized but is very tenacious as is Bryce Fisher. This isn't really a weakness for the Seahawks but it isn't a strength either.
    Advantage- Rams

    LBs-
The Rams have Will Witherspoon, Pisa Tinoisamoa, and Dexter Coakley. Witherspoon and Tinoisamoa are both underrated and are one of the best combinations at LB in the league. Coakley however will probably not last the season and that would leave Brandon Chillar as a starter. Chillar isn't ever going to be a superstar but may develop into a pretty good backup. There are very few teams that Chillar would start for. The Seahawks have Julian Peterson, Lofa Tatupu, and Leroy Hill. Peterson and Tatupu are two of the best linebackers and arguably the best combination of two linebackers on any team. While Hill isn't on their level he is still a solid player. If Coakley stays healthy the Rams will have a great LB corp but it just isn't as good as the Seahawks.
    Advantage- Seahawks

    DBs-
At Corner the Rams have Jerametrius Butler and Fakhir Brown. Butler is an underrated corner. Butler isnt great but he is good. Brown will compete with Fisher for the other spot. Brown is solid at everything but there isn't anything he is really good at. Fisher is battling back from an injury. If he can come back at full strength he could easily take his spot back as the starting corner alongside Butler. At safety the Rams have OJ (Oshiomogho) Atogwe and Corey Chavous. Atogwe should be a good safety eventually but he is still very young. Chavous is a much more experienced safety. Chavous isn't as fast as Adam Archuleta but he is a better tackler and is better in coverage so the Rams might actually be better at safety despite the loss of Archuleta. The Seahawks have Kelly Jennings, Micheal Trufant, Micheal Boulware, and Ken Hamlin. Jennings and Trufant should be a solid combination of corners but Jennings is young. Boulware did surprisingly well last year. Hamlin was considered a headcase coming into the league but nobody ever doubted his talent. He has done well and has yet to cause any problems.
    Advantage- Seahawks

    Head Coach- Seahawks
    Offensive Coordinator- Seahawks
    Defensive Coordinator- Rams

    QBs- Rams
    RBs- Seahawks
    WRs- Rams
    OL- Seahawks
    DL- Rams
    LBs- Seahawks
    DBs- Seahawks

Re: advantage/ disadvantage Rams Vs seahawks,

we better beat the hawks twice, remember guys this is a big year for us. If we don't go to the superbowl this season was a waste. Maybe our defense sucked balls the last few years, but it only takes 1 year to make the superbowl and have a big turnaround if you don't believe me, then just look at the 1999 superbowl champion St.Louis Rams.

This is no bigger year for "us" than any other. First year ROOKIE head coach and year one of recovering from ol Rainys blundering maneuvers make this somewhat of a year for 'growing pains' and REASONABLE expectations. Falling short of the SB isnt going to be any kind of wasted season. Making the playoffs would be a nice year...then ANYTHING can happen.

yes But I am shooting high, and It usually works for me, so i figured I would give it a try. I still think this is a big year, because Our players arent getting any younger and if we don't make a run sooner rather than later we may have no chance later. to me we are like a version of the New york Yankees they are a great team but the players they have keep getting older.
