This Afternoon, in Bill Devaney's Office (or... why we're not taking a DT)
Claude: “Mr. Deveney?”
Bill: “Come in, Claude. This shouldn’t take too long.”
Claude: “Um… okay… what is this about… I’m off the stuff, you know!”
Bill: “Oh, its nothing like that. I just wanted to ask you about your former LSU teammate, Glenn Dorsey.”
Claude: “Oh… wow… I was worried there for a moment.”
Bill: “So, what can you tell me about Dorsey?”
Claude: “Well, he’s a great guy. Great player. I really liked having him as a teammate.”
Bill: “How well did you know him?”
Claude: “We hung out some. You know, just chilling on a Saturday night, getting mellow, the usual.”
Bill: “Getting mellow?”
Claude: “Uh, yeah, you know, like that Mellow Yellow soda.”
Bill: “Riiiiight. So when was the last time you saw him?”
Claude: “Hmmmm, let’s see. Oh, yeah… he helped me move some of my stuff out of an ex-girlfriend’s apartment.”
Bill: “Isn’t that the incident when you were - -“
Claude: “NO! No. that was a different girlfriend.”
Bill: “Oh. Well, what is the best thing you can say about Glenn to recommend him?”
Claude: “Well, as an LSU player, he really would come to the NFL ready to play.”
Bill: “Like you?”
Claude: “Exactly.”
Bill: “Thanks, you’ve been a big help. Could you see if Dom is out there waiting.”
Claude: “Sure.”
Dominique: “Mr. Devaney?”
Bill: “Hey, Dominique. I’d like to talk to you about - -“
Dominique: “I’ll get it cleared up! I promise!”
Bill: “No, not that. I wanted to ask you about Sedrick Ellis.”
Dominique: “Oh, okay.”
Bill: “What could you tell me about him?”
Dominique: “He’s great. The kind of guy you can go out with. You know. Party. Get a little crazy.”
Bill: “What about as a player?”
Dominique: “Oh, he’s a good player. No doubt. You can’t go wrong with a Trojan.”
Bill: “Like you?”
Dominique: “Exactly.”
Bill: “Okay. Thanks for the info.”
Dominique: “No problem. See ya.”
Bill: “Janice.. get me Jay on the phone.”
Jay: “Hello?”
Bill: “WE ARE NOT TAKING A DT IN ROUND 1 THIS YEAR!!!!!”

Watch, here's what will happen...
"With the second pick in the 2008 NFL Draft the St. Louis Rams select....Darren McFadden RB out of Arkansas."
Watch the whole ClanRam chatroom go bonkers.....

I'll be sure to bump this on April 26th if Dorsey is the pick.
And no one quote this reply and say the exact opposite of what I put. I know how all of you are on here, so I felt I had to say that in order to prevent such smart remarks from taking place

No no no, you're all wrong. It'll be Darren McFadden, TE from Arkansas!

3 TE set? How many TE's do you need for a 3 TE set? We already have 6...

Re: This Afternoon, in Bill Devaney's Office (or... why we're not taking a DT)
lol, another conversation recorded by AV.
Actually, I wouldn't mind if we took McFadden... but only if we traded him.
You know how much Jerry Jones wants him, we could really get something from the Cowboys (or other teams) I would bet.
What if we got him, and the right team got Chris Long, Gholston, or somebody else we are looking at. We could then trade players, and we would get more in return (since our guy was the higher draftee), know what I mean?
Very risky, but if it worked, it would be an amazing draft move.
We actually had a good move when we got Tye Hill a few years ago. He was the guy the Rams wanted at I think #13, but we traded down, got more picks, and still were able to pick up Hill. First time in a long time I heard ESPN say "That was good drafting by the Rams."
