Alexander: 'I'll Be Highly Emotional' Sunday
Alexander: 'I'll be highly emotional' Sunday
BY BILL COATS
October 13, 2010
Here are some excerpts from an interview with St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danario Alexander today, a day after he was promoted to the 53-man active roster:
On the opportunity:
"I'm very excited. I'm looking forward the opportunity that's at hand and really make plays.
On the status of his knee:
"I'm very confident. I've been working hard every day at practice, getting it stronger, and in the training room and the weight room. So I'm looking forward to it."
On the promotion:
"I was kind of anticipating it coming some time soon. They tried to keep me back to keep me healthy, and they did a good job with that. It's a pretty big deal."
On taking a hit:
"I haven't played in a football game since my last college game last December. I'm ready for it. That's why I built my knee up, to get ready for that."
On learning the playbook:
"I know it all. When I came in I had to get in the playbook so I could get on the field to get where I'm at right now. I've been studying for this opportunity, and I'm going to take advantage of it."
On suiting up Sunday:
"I anticipate playing. That's why I'm practicing hard. I'm practicing like I will be playing. We'll see Sunday."
On what emotions he expects Sunday:
"I'll be highly emotional. I've been through a lot throughout this whole summer, with the surgery, missing the draft. The Rams have given me a chance, and I'll be very emotional about it."

After watching this vid, it really gets you pumped up to see what DA can do in the NFL.
Here's hoping the kid is healthy, because he looks like a straight up beast.

Can't not like his attitude. I wish him the best of luck, and not just because he's on the Rams. I'm just, as I've said, worried that we are rushing him with his injury issues...

Always and Forever a fan of the St. Louis Rams

They may have signed him to the active roster, but that doesn't mean he will be active on Sunday. Still, he's worked hard for this. What I found interesting is that he has a four year deal. I read that in some article in the post dispatch, can't remember which one.

Nice montage of his work. I don't know much about the guy, but that was nice to see. Hopefully he has sure hands and can quickly build something with Bradford. And most of all, not get re-injured!

from that video he looks like he has skills, but this aint college. However, he has the height to be good. He has an opportunity and I think he'll pose problems for shorter backs.

Re: Alexander: 'I'll Be Highly Emotional' Sunday
My favorite part of the video is when the announcer says, "He was starter back in 2007, over a guy named Jeremy Maclin".

Injuries are the only thing holding this guy back, unfortunately our track record with WR and injuries is not very good.
Hopefully our luck will change with DA.

Re: Alexander: 'I'll Be Highly Emotional' Sunday
He could be great.......But those storky legs.
It was good to not see any posing or showboating, just handing the ball back to the refs.Last edited by live4ramin; -10-14-2010 at 02:30 PM.
