Alexander: Knee Responded Well After Game

Alexander: Knee responded well after game

    By BILL COATS
    Wednesday, December 1, 2010

After his first game with the St. Louis Rams, vs. San Diego on Oct. 17, wide receiver Danario Alexander reported some soreness in his balky left knee in the following days.

It was different this time, after Alexander returned Sunday in Denver four weeks after undergoing the fifth surgery on the knee.

Alexander, who caught four passes for a team-high 95 yards in the 36-33 victory over the Broncos, was a full participant Wednesday as the team returned to the practice field.

The knee "responded pretty good," Alexander said. "I came out today in practice, running around, and everything felt great."

You'd think DX would have had to feel a little anxiety last week coming off surgery, and look what he did. His confidence should be soaring in comparison this coming Sunday.

I'll still proceed with caution using him, even during the next season. If he can make it through without any injuries next season, we've just found ourselves a mighty fine jewel in the rough. I just flat out love this kid and his heart and talent to play with confidence after all he's been through.

I'm always going to be scared that some dirty player (i.e Courtland Finnegan), will take a cheap shot at his knees and permanently injure them.
