Alexander, Pettis, Goldberg join Rams workouts

The ranks of St. Louis Rams players working out this week at Lindenwood University swelled a bit today.

Among those joining the sessions, organized mainly by cornerback Ron Bartell, linebacker James Laurinaitis and quarterback Sam Bradford, were wide receivers Danario Alexander, Laurent Robinson and fourth-round draftee Austin Pettis, plus offensive lineman Adam Goldberg.

The group of about 35 drilled from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The workout was moved up two hours because of concerns about possible storms later in the day.

The players did individual work, then spent some time in team drills. They also got in a conditioning session before breaking up.

Workouts also are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, beginning at 9 a.m. each day.

Gosh Bill, who'd we draft in round three? ... Glad to see so many guys showing up and trying to get ready regardless of the labor dispute. Hope no one gets hurt!

Salas showed up on Bradford's doorstep in the wee hours Monday after a red-eye flight from California. "I rolled in at 4:30, got a couple of hours of sleep and got out here" to Lindenwood, Salas said.

The more we hear about these the more surprised I am that Gilyard hasn't shown up. Anybody hear anything about him? Short of a wedding or a funeral I can't imagine why he'd miss these. Especially when you combine a horrible rookie showing with the 3 new pass catchers from the draft..idk, if it were me I would have been the first one there.

Great point. If any player really needs to be there, it's Gilyard. I'm not sure what he's thinking, but hopefully he gets with the program, although it would not surprise me if didn't make the effort.

I love Bradford. This kid is perfect. I couldn't name a player I'd rather have than Sam Bradford.
