    All Kidding aside...

We know Michael Vicks NFL history both on and off the field. We also know Marc Bulgers NFL history on and off the field.

Seriously, as they are, no changing either players history on or off the NFL field.

Who would you want under center to open the 2009 season?

    Bulger or Vick?

B u l g e r. Marc is a QB, Michael is an improviser / scrambler. // Assuming both would have the same OL pass protection, I believe Bulger would be much more efficient.

I'd rather have Bulger because we don't have the talent to run the Wildcat. However, this offense is geared specifically for a QB who can manage the game from the pocket. That's Bulger.

Now, if you want to talk Cromartie or Hill? lol

A 30-year-old scrambling QB that hasn't seen the field in 4 years and a career rating avg. of 75.7?

No thanks. I'll stick with Bulger.

Even in his prime Vick wasn't a good QB. All he could ever do was run, and I doubt he can even do that now. As a dropback QB, he was terrible.

    Re: All Kidding aside...

All kidding aside, this offense is like kryptonite to Vick. You might say, but McNabb is a scrambler! Yes, but he didn't actually start being successful until he learned to be a pocket quarterback that can buy time behind the line of scrimmage. McNabb always was a better traditional QB than Vick, and now is at a point that I doubt Vick can even dream about.

Vick would be horrible in the offense that is being installed. He simply can't make the throws that are required of it. Look at Roddy White, Atlanta's best receiver. With Vick, over two years, he had 59 receptions, 952 yards. WIthout Vick, with a medley of pocket QB's, he's had 171 receptions, 2,384 yards. But Teke, he just had his 3rd year breakout, that would have happened anyway! Even if he did breakout just because of being in his 3rd year, he tripled his receptions which simply could not happen under Vick.

The answer is Bulger, clear and simple. He's perfect for this offense. Vick is perfect for... a backup, gimmick QB job. Sorry.

    Bulger is a quarter back.

Vick is a running back with a good arm.

    Bulger every time.

I'd said Bulger only because he'd be better in the WCO and Vick hasn't played in two years. But i have to admit it would be fun to watch Vick run the offense

    Re: All Kidding aside...

Vick wasn't that bad as a QB. He got the Falcons to the playoffs twice and to the NFC Championship game once. Also, when he's healthy it's pretty much a guarantee that his team is going to lead the NFL is rushing. He might not be the prototypical NFL QB but he can get the job done.

I would like to see Vick in the NFL this year and not just as a wildcat QB but not on the Rams. This offense really fits Bulger and with the new O-line Bulger will probably return pro bowl form.
