    All time rams killers

Name the players you think were all time Rams killers. Great players that we played against over the years who stood in our way and were material contributing factors in beating us, especially in big games.

For those of my era, two names stand out above all others. Fran Tarkenton and Roger Staubach. Year after year, throughout the 1970's, the Rams had dominant teams, and it seemed like every year it was either Tarkenton or Staubach keeping us out of the super bowl.

Jerry Rice and Ronnie Lott certainly go on the list as well.

I can think of a recent one, DeMarco Murray, who likes to rush for 200+ against the Rams... Actually, any RB will do..

Honestly, the first name that popped in my mind was Josh Brown. He beat us when he was in Seattle and then beat us when he was here.

Shaun Hill, we managed to make him look like an All-Pro when we faced him during the old regime.

    All time Rams killers:

Joe Kapp and/or The Purple People Eaters, Western Conference Championship, Dec. 27, 1969.

That playoff game in the Minnesota snow. I remember well, a close, brutal battle. Lost 23-20.

That is why I was so elated in 1999 (January 16, 2000) when vengeance was ours and the Rams manhandled the Vikings - starting with a TD on the very 1st Rams play from scrimmage! Payback big time ...

And all the way to SB XXXIV Champions. The purple people lose their 4 SB games.

Yes, those were very, very tough playoff losses.

Then in 1985 came the Revenge of the Rams, courtesy of ED!

Much as i hate to even say their names out loud, Preston Pearson and Drew Pearson were both Cowboys Rams killers. Joe Kapp killed us in the 1969 playoff game, but Carl Eller and Alan Paige killed us for years and years.

Yep, a name that will live in infamy as the poster boy for no-name QB's that not only killed the Rams, but got their 15 minutes of fame doing it.

Man John Taylor,Roger Craig,Jerry Rice,Ronnie Lott and Joe Montana. It was rough watching those guys always spoil the Rams season even when the Rams were good. Taylor had two td catches of 80 yards or more in one game in particular. Man I hate the Whiners alway have and always will. This whole thread has just aggravated me goodbye.

Very accurate about those players on the Cowboys. The Cowboy I have a special hate for is Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson who acted like a clown in the end zone after a pick-six in probably the worst Rams playoff loss in 1975. I think the final score was 56-0.

    Go Rams!
