last two times the seahawks were the last game made the rams end up 7-9 and not in the playoffs
and 7-8-1 and missing out on an even record
third times the charm, time to get to .500
There is only one team I currently hate in the entire NFL, and it is the fortuniners. There is absolutely no way I could be proud of helping them win the NFC West and possibly propelling them to another SuperBowl. Not even a chance at 8-8, and ending on a winning note could supercede that scenario.
Probably not a popular stance around here, but if losing to the Seahawks means the Fortuniners don't win the West, don't have a bye nor a home game, then sobeit.
1. The Hawks have to bring their "A" game
2. The much bloviated "12th Man" will have to bring their "A" game as well
3. The Rams have a chance to end the season with a non-losing record for the 1st time in 8 seasons
4. Winning begets winning
5. Losing begets losing
A win on Sunday would be HUGE for this young team, and a big milestone from which to build this offseason. A loss.......well, they aren't supposed to win this game anyway, right?
I look at this from another angle...
How funny is it that the entire Whiner Nation has to become Rams fans for a week?
It's a win win, if we go in there and win that would be a great finish. If we lose the whiners are knocked off the top and we get a higher pick. I just want a shot at them needing the game and let the chips fall where they may.
Rams beat Seahawks
Cardinals beat Whiners
I can't help but throw in my conspiracies. I thought of this today, when pondering legitimacy (really illegitimacy) of the INT that resulted in the 9er win last night.
If the league wants the "Stick" to go out with a NFC Championship, we could have some of the most biased (in our favor) officiating RAMS fans have ever seen.
Up until I saw replays this morning (went to bed at halftime), I was surprised that the refs called some rarely called penalties against the 9ers early in the game, but I don't know how a DB shouldering a WR out of the way to intercept a ball is not pass interference. Maybe the league saw an opportunity to extend the "Stick's" season, and now the wheels are in motion.
Just because you want to want the Rams to win doesn't mean you want the Whiners to win the division. I couldn't careless about how they fare in the playoffs. I'm sure Carolina or New Orleans will give them quite the ass-whooping.
