Re: Any word on Brockers?
Fisher had no definite word at halftime but said it didn't appear "too serious".

Re: Any word on Brockers?
Les Snead also came out and said it wasn't serious, but it may be lingering.

Re: Any word on Brockers?
Well see lets hope it's not a high ankle.Brockers was helped off the field by two trainers, but was able to put weight on the leg, then was carted off the field.
X-rays were negative and an MRI was scheduled for Friday for Brockers, who was in a walking boot but didn’t think it was a serious injury.

St. Louis Rams' Michael Brockers suffers ankle injury
By Marc Sessler
It doesn't sound like a, "...just walk it off big guy" type of injury but seems he'll be fine. I suppose Brockers will miss practice for a week? Then hard work for season opener. The St. Louis Rams watched with concern as Michael Brockers was carted to the locker room during Thursday night's 31-17 preseason victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
The rookie defensive tackle left the game with a right ankle injury late in the first quarter, the team announced. His return for the Rams' preseason finale is questionable.
Rams coach Jeff Fisher said during a halftime interview that he hoped the injury wouldn't hamper Brockers during the regular season.
"He's got an ankle (injury), not too serious," Fisher said, "but sometimes those ankles linger on."
Brockers was injured on a second-and-8 play that saw Ravens offensive lineman Jah Reid dive into Brockers' leg.
Trainers helped the 322-pound Brockers walk to the sideline before he was carted away. We'll monitor this one. Fisher and the Rams considered it a stroke of luck when Brockers fell to them at the No. 14 overall draft pick in April's NFL Draft, and they've been thrilled with his play so far.

Re: Any word on Brockers?
Hope for the best but plan for the worst. That's three layers of depth gone/questionable for Detroit at a key spot.
I'd be really surprised if DT isn't the top waiver priority whether Brockers is just dinged up or not.
Man, he has been fun to watch, hasn't he ? He's not winning all the battles yet but he understands the war. He always knows where the ball is; there's no pointless wrasslin' away from the play we've seen so much of from DTs in recent years. Maybe it isn't such a bad thing if he has to take a week off; that kid has played A LOT of snaps. It's a long season for a rookie, especially in the trenches.

Re: Any word on Brockers?
The fact that he was able to put weight on it is good. I'd rather him need/take help(considering that he's a beefy kid) than to maybe hut it more trying to be "a man." Players wear boots all the time now a days to try to keep ankles and such from getting re-injured. I'm hoping he'll be a questionable that plays to confuse the Lions.
I believe!

Re: Any word on Brockers?
The real question is how long until the first Haynesworth thread.

Re: Any word on Brockers?
If he's able to bear weight, thats a very good sign. Most likely just a sprain, but then again, Sam Bradfords ankle isn't 100%..
