Anyone else (Flipper related)
Anyone get nervous last night after Bennett had 192 yards receiving at half? I thought Flipper's 320 yards in a game record was going bye-bye.

What an amazing record. Drew Bennett has the best receiving game of anyone in years and he was still 103 yards from the record. Holt has had two great weeks back-to-back for a total of 311 yards, still 25 yards less than Flipper's single game record. Pretty amazing if you ask me.

Flipper had 336 yards vs New Orleans. It was an overtime game. That record will be a tough one to break.

Re: Anyone else (Flipper related)
Rams players hold the most passing yards in a game record (Van Brocklin) and most receiving (Flipper) as well as fewest yards allowed in a game (1978?) and I think most points per game average ('55?). The Rams aren't too good at any of the longevity related records but they have some single game records that'll be tough to beat.
The Everett idea's not too far fetched (age-wise) either. Testaverde was born November, 1963. Chandler, October 1965. Everett's just a few months older than Testaverde being born in January of 1963. Hell, I'd take Aikman over Chandler at this point and he's younger than all of them I'm pretty sure.Last edited by moklerman; -12-16-2004 at 06:17 PM.
