An appeal to trade for Vincent Jackson.
...I am very, very sorry to pull this mean prank, but there was a reason for it, and that is this:
Every single one of you VJ detractors was rock hard when you read that. And you should be....It's EXCITING.
It would make Sam Bradford, SJax, and Shurmer much better overnight...and over that same night, our division seems to be getting worse, and worse.
Last thing: We were a play away from winning both of those games. We are 2-0 if he were a Ram (and was on the field) right now.
2-0 or 0-2. Many of you asked how many games a year he adds to our win total. Well, after two games played. It's two games!

first of all im all for the trade but we are not 2-0 if he is on the field being that he was suspended and would not have played yet

Nice one! The bottom line is V-Jax has to want to come here! He can veto any trade and as much as he could help this team he wants to play for a contender. I don't think even if he wanted to come here we can match what a team that plays in the north and has a senior citizen for a qb is willing to offer. There's just no way.

Is that what they're even asking?
I wouldn't be surprised if it was more than that.

Re: Rams to Trade 2nd and 4th Rounders for VJ...!!!!
Certainly wasn't "rock hard" as you had apparently hoped. First of all a 2nd and 4th rounder is too steep a price for a team still in need of a lot of pieces. Secondly, it is well documented that this guy couldn't help us for several more games because of his suspension. And third, he is of questionable character, and for whatever short term help he might give you, those chickens will eventually come home to roost in the form of some problem he causes.
I want to win BADLY, but I want to win the right way with guys I can embrace. Idiots like Marshall, V-Jax, TO etc. are on the market for a reason- they've worn out their welcomes elsewhere. To go from class acts like Holt and Bruce to a hemhorroid like V-Jax is not a change I want to see.
With all due respect...

I maintain that as long as the current coaching staff is calling the shots, wideouts, regardless of their pedigree, are worthless.

Re: Rams to Trade 2nd and 4th Rounders for VJ...!!!!
Sidney Rice is targeting a week 8 comeback, so going to the Vikings is a long shot. They would have way too many receivers to go to in the last half of the season and would be spending way too high of a draft pick for a rental player. At this point the Rams are really the only team looking like they will land him, but it would be nuts for the Rams to mortgage their future.
It actually looks like the chargers GM is trying to hold on to VJax just to punish him and will only let him go for a really lopsided deal. He's reportedly already nixed a few trades. I'm actually surprised the players association hasn't stepped in to say anything.
I really hope we land Vincent, but its gotta be at the right price and hes got to personally agree to play for us (who knows if he wants to come here or not). He would add a huge boost to the offense and to the fans. Let's hope something happens before Wednesday.

A 2nd AND 4th..? Better enjoy your 'hard on' while you got it DP, you know the FO cant afford that with all our other weak links...

On the flip side, with Harvin's recurring and well documented head problems and the increasing concern the league is showing toward problems of that nature, perhaps his career may not be long.
Minnesota is a Super Bowl or bust team this season. Their future is now, and having too many wideouts is a good problem to have from their perspective. Rentals are needed at any cost.
