Re: ARCH ENEMIES (Week 1): Carolina Panthers
Guys, a little help here....
Tawn and I were talking last night about the upcoming game. The Carolina fans keep talking up Peppers, and I'll admit he's good. However, I doubt he'd be too effective. I remember in 2005 we had a rookie OT that held his own against someone that is arguably as good as Peppers. His name was Strahan. Are we remembering this right?
Mind you, Barron has gotten better, Pace is still Pace, and our O-line looks stronger than it has in years. I have no doubt that Carolina will try to play on what they think are our weaknesses, and shifting Peppers around is something I expect.
Matching Peppers up against our front 5, I see only one player who probably can't hold his own against Peppers - Setterstrom.
I kind of hope that we get to see Peppers run up against Cogs....MUWAHAHAHAHA!Super Bowl Champions 2013!

Re: ARCH ENEMIES (Week 1): Carolina Panthers
I honestly don't see the point in bickering over who did what in what year. This my fellow panther and rams fans is a NEW year. Two new teams with new additions. This game is going to be fun. You have one team where thier stregnth is thier defense, where as the other team has a potent offense. Strength vs Strength doesn't get any better.
Trying to predict the first game is very difficult due to the fact that we have yet to see the real panthers or the real rams team play this season. There is nothing to base the predictions on including last years game or the game six years ago. This is not the same team that came into the dome and beat the rams in 2003 where as it is not the same rams team that hoisted the lombardy.
Looking forward to talking with you all as the game approaches

Re: ARCH ENEMIES (Week 1): Carolina Panthers
To the guy who said we should have scored more your right, Had hoover not fumbled at the 1(unforced) it would have been 22-0...
Its true tha Orlando Pace is a great ot, But one man dosnt make your whole oline....
We Didnt have 3 of our offenceive linemen for that game...
I sincerly hope Barron Blocks pepp 1 on 1 he would be destroyed...
Btw Julius Peppers is alot better than the strahan of 05'
The fact is the Rams Still wont be able to stop the run..

Re: ARCH ENEMIES (Week 1): Carolina Panthers
Ah, the Panthers. For some reason, hearing their name reminds me of Brent Spiner's charachter of Data, when he did "Ode to Spot":
As an enlightened teacher of the herd, I shall attempt to enlighten you Felis Cattus admirerers.Felis Cattus,
is your taxonomic nomenclature,
an endothermic quadruped carnivorous by nature?
Your visual, olfactory and auditory senses
contribute to your hunting skills, and natural defenses.
I find myself intrigued by your subvocal oscillations,
a singular development of cat communications
that obviates your basic hedonistic predilection
for a rhythmic stroking of your fur, to demonstrate affection.
A tail is quite essential for your acrobatic talents;
you would not be so agile if you lacked its counterbalance.
And when not being utilized to aide in locomotion,
it often serves to illustrate the state of your emotion.
O Spot,
the complex levels of behaviour you display
connote a fairly well-developed cognitive array.
And though you are not sentient,
Spot,
and do not comprehend,
I nonetheless consider you a true and valued friend.
The Panthers, while not the worst team in the NFL, are not the best. The potential for a winning season is there, but you are in a situation that is a tough one: Like KC, there is a Zero chance of you winning the division. Covering up the by-products disguised as meat does nothing to hide the filler under the cheese. The Panthers offense at this point is like a fresh cow pie...if not for the grass holding it together, it would splatter all over the field. The defense fares slightly better: yet, no matter how good the cowpie, it is still nothing more than fertilizer in the end.
Sorry, Carolina, the Great Cow Guru must side with his fellow horned beasts on this one. The Rams shall declaw your hopes for a win.

Re: ARCH ENEMIES (Week 1): Carolina Panthers
Ya, whoever said this earlier was right, it will be a great gme and we can only tell when it happens. But either way its onl week 1 and I doubt both teams will be playing as effectivly as they will be by week 5 or so, therefore anything can happen.
