Armey was on KTRS

Report comes from another fan in St. Lou area:

**He seems to like the Colorado St TE Dressen as he was teh 1st player he mentioned. Hadley said he would be a perfect fit here.

He also was impressed by QB Jason Campbell and RB Cadillac Williams.

Thinks it's only an okay QB class. He likes the Utah QB Alex Smith and Akron's Fry, but he has to learn to take a snap under center as he ran an offense out of a shotgun formation almost exclusivly in college.

Said the Missouri DT (Ellison) has a good shot at being a 1st day pick.

Said we have a chance to make some moves in FA this year that can improve the team this year. Meaning more then they have had in recent years. He did say that, "it depends on how some things shake out." I assume meaning Pace and any potential re-worked deals for Bruce or Faulk, but he mentioned no names or details.

That was it as it was a short interview.

Re: Armey was on KTRS

It seems unfortunate that he didn't mention any positions that we have identified as priorities. Yes, a play making TE & DE would be good to have, but, I think there are much greater needs to address first.

Wish he could have been squeezed for some more info, but I'll take what I can get. Thanks Wraith!

I agree about Dressen though. He sounds like he would be a good fit.

Re: Armey was on KTRS

He's pretty tough and has great hands. Doesn't have the elite size or speed, but he is a quality pass catching tight end that runs good routes and is a willing if only average blocker. Has some injury concerns. Should be a nice selection to start off Day Two.

As it should be. This point of the year is more about poker than football. Armey can't talk too much about our FA or draft strategy at this point. No need to tip your hand.

Re: Armey was on KTRS

Anybody else just want to get this SuperBowl over with so free agency can begin? When can teams start signing free agents anyway?
