    Austin Davis time?

Clemens gave his all, but it wasn't very much

I could be wrong, but it feels like Austin Davis has a higher ceiling than Clemens

If he knows the playbook, should we give Austin a chance?

you cant keep juggling QBs. one week doesn't prove everything about his aptitude or talents. He will still be the primary through next week at least.

I don't remember seeing Brady Quinn on the sidelines though LOL

Davis is a 3rd option. Had he been a better choice, he wouldn't have been cut to begin with. As the 2nd string back-up, Clemens will start until and unless he proves to be horrific. While he wasn't very good vs. Seattle, he did have some moments and played with both heart and fire in his belly.

Much like Jets fans around here who are clammoring for Simms over Geno Smith, it must be reminded that Davis' performances were against 3rd stringers and backups in the pre-season. Success against them is a different animal than facing Seattle's starting defense.

Maybe Davis will get a shot, but it won't be anytime soon.

Keep Clemens in for a few more weeks. He's not good, but neither are the other guys.

If he continues to underperform (I think he will) throw Davis in for the last few games. I don't think he'll raise our chances to win, but it will at least let us know if Davis could be a viable backup for next year.

i will give clemens that he's good at being a quarterback in everything.....

except one of the MOST important things a quarterback has to do, and that's throwing the ball

i like him in the pocket, his awareness is good, i think he can run an offense just fine, people like him as a leader, all that stuff....but he can't throw consistently....
