That is funny. ......NOT! Apparently, we have the most fragile players in the league. Maybe, we need to be in a non-contact sport. Say,........chess or tiddly winks.

P.S. I have sources that have confirmed that he has an ass injury, coupled with a broken back and a lacerated hip. Film at 11.

Rams guard leaves practice with numbness - International Herald Tribune

"Rookie wide receiver Donnie Avery, the team's second-round pick, cracked a bone in his pelvis. Coach Scott Linehan said it was a very small crack and believed he'd be sidelined no longer than a week or two, with rest prescribed."

Looks like time for some spiritual intervention. Everyone start praying!!! Pray for protection from injuries this year. Not good news so far.

Why does he have to prove anything? He did not make the pick????

Why would you say "HA"? You do want to see Avery succeed, right?

You certainly didn't read that from any reliable source. Here's what the Rams' site (Nick Wagoner) had to say:

On to some injury news. Receiver Donnie Avery suffered a small break in his pelvic bone. The injury kept Avery out of Tuesday’s practice though he ran some routes out of pads after practice. Scott Linehan says the injury can only be cured with time and rest. Avery isn’t expected to have a prolonged absence but the injury is a bit of a disappointment since he arrived a day late.
Let's not start or pass along unfounded rumors, okay?

As for those of you who don't know their pelvis from their ass...

Well, now Burton has a shot.

Good thing is, none of our very important players are hurt. Once we lose someone like Bell, Pace, Jackson, Bulger, Holt, etc. Then we're screwed. But Burton has been doing good, so can't complain.

Do you think if he had a fractured back, he would be at camp today? Yes, I question it.

BEEP...BEEP...BEEP...This just in....Apparently Mr. Avery had to have double surgery today. One to remove his butt cheeks and the other to remove his anus. The doctors prognosis is good, however. He should be 100% within 6 to 8 weeks , in that regard . Unfortunately, the fracture of the T11 and T12 vertebra in his spine makes it hard to determine a return date. Couple this with a severe laceration to the pelvis and we have a real problem.

Doctors do plan on equipping Avery with a "poop" bag that is undetectable under his jersey. Unless it bursts. In that case, we will have a crappy mess on our hands.

Everyone needs to relax a bit...it's a stress fracture, aka a hairline fracture. He'll be fine.

Um, I clearly followed my statement with a QUESTION which asked if there was any truth to it. If I was spreading rumours I would not have posed that question and I would have continued to ramble on about how we would miss him for the length of time I alluded to. I don't come here to start a fuss I was just expressing what I had heard and if anyone else on here had heard the same info that I did.
