Av's "Looking West" (Pre-Week 7)
Well, my picks were off (1 out of 3) last week, but I could not be happier about the Rams' surprising win.
So... on to Week 7.
Current Standings
Arizona 3-2
Seattle 3-2
St. Louis 3-3
San Francisco 1-5
Week 7 Projections
St. Louis 27 Tampa 16
The Rams need to get a road win, and I think the team matches up well against Tampa. The Bucs are last in the NFL in rushing yards/carry allowed and sacks. The Rams should be able to combine a healthy dose of Steven Jackson with a conservative passing attack to move the ball consistently and get above .500 for the first time in years.
Seattle 26 Arizona 20
I think Arizona has more talent accross the board, but I'm not going to pick them to win in Seattle with Max Hall at QB. Seattle is a different team at home, and they will take sole possession of the division lead with a win.
Carolina 14 San Francisco 13
The Panthers desperately need a win, and will have a better chance of getting it at home. The Niners got their first win last week, but still are having trouble scoring. With Vernon Davis possibly out, they have one less weapon in their arsenal.
Projected Standings
Seattle 4-2
St. Louis 4-3
Arizona 3-3
San Francisco 1-6
The race at the top will continue to be close, with Seattle holding a 1/2 game lead over the Rams. The Niners' implosion will continue, and someone's head will roll (Singletary? Smith?). The Rams will be right in the thick of things, which is important as they have a tough second half of the schedule coming up soon.

St. Louis 4-3 (agree completely with your assessment on this game)

San Francisco 2-5
Arizona imo will win in Seattle and whiners are the best 0-1 win team in the league.

Great question and one I have been contemplating since Sunday. I would have to say I'd rather see AZ win. Seattle is without question the best home team in the NFC West. Any losses they can incur at home should ultimately help our chances by the end of the season. That being said, AZ also has a light schedule, but if they lose a couple of games at home (one against the Rams of course) we can have a legitimate shot at taking this division, and how exciting would it be to have it come down to the final game of the season in Seattle?

I see Seattle winning that game , They are very tough at home , Max Hall is not ready for that type of atmosphere yet !!!!!!!!
San fran should Kill , Kill Kill The Panthers !!!!
If we can pass the ball against the Bucs that should open major holes for SJ , Look at Pittsburgh what they did to the Bucs with a back up QB !!!!!!

Totally agree here. Rams can run the ball with the Beast, TB can't stop it. Bradford should have a good day as well against their poor pass D. In fact, maybe his best as a pro. Rams win by a TD or more.

Again, I agree with the outcome here. Seattle is tough at home and I think this game is the beginning of a slide for the Cards. Seattle wins easily.

Here I disagree. I still say the whiners are way too talented to stay on the bottom of the NFC west. Despite their internal issues with the HC and a QB that shouldn't be a starter in the NFL, the Panthers are horrible. Whiners win their second game in a squeaker.

This would be the best considering I am going to that game on tickets provided by a starting player of the Seahawks. Hope he doesn't mind me wearing the blue and gold!!:D

might be exciting, but until the Rams show they can win on the road, and with the way the Seahawks play at home, i would much rather it didnt go down to this last game!
