Av's "Looking West" - Week 3
After a rough start to the season, I was even at 2-2 last week with my picks.
Its amazing what a difference a week makes. The Rams are 1-1, and the football world is buzzing about Jeff Fisher's makeover of the squad. Still, the media is fickle. If the Rams don't continue to play well, they'll fade to the background once again.
On to week 3!
Rams 23
Bears 20
Playing the Bears in Chicago will be tough, but I think the Rams' pass rush will be able to get to Jay Cutler early and often. Add Matt Forte's injury to the equation, and I'm going with the upset.
Niners 27
Vikings 6
The Niners will continue their win streak without much trouble. Christian Ponder will not be able to dent the San Francisco defense.
Eagles 31
Cardinals 13
Was last week's win at New England a fluke? Yes. Yes it was. The Eagles defense is going to have a field day this week.
Packers 21
Seahawks 16
The Seahawks defense was impressive last week, but Green Bay's passing game will do enough to win this one.
Projected Standings
San Francisco 3-0 (0-0)
Arizona 2-1 (1-0)
St. Louis 2-1 (0-0)
Seattle 1-2 (0-1)

Send in the kicker! We need a FG! Close games appears to be the soup du jour this year. Better than being blown out at any rate.

Agree with the outcomes of all your picks.
...oh crap.
Re: Av's "Looking West" - Week 3
The NFC "Worst" went 4-0 last week. I'm feeling a Seattle upset over the Cheese!
Av's "Looking West" - Week 3
Anything beats watching the Rams getting blown out. Being able to get up Sunday's, knowing your team has a chance... All you can ask for ...
Re: Av's "Looking West" - Week 3
Wow, crazy week 2 in the NFC West. All four teams won!
San Francisco 27
Minnesota 15
Traveling to Minnesota, this smells of a trap game situation. but, I have to go with talent on this one. The Vikings' line may win some battles on defense, but their offense has almost no chance, and SF has historicaly been extremely good against Adrian Peterson. Niners take this one easily.
Chicago 27
St. Louis 13
I can't tell if Cutler and the Bears are on the verge of collapse, or hungry for revenge. This is a very tough game to pick, especially since it is in Chicago. I'm going to pick against my gut on this one, and choose Chicago for the get-right game at home.
Philladelphia 23
Arizona 19
I don't trust Vick. I don't trust Kolb. This could be the greatest game of all time, or the worst game ever played. I'm scared. Picking the Eagles and not feeling good about it.
Green Bay 21
Seattle 19
Seattle is really, really good at home, and their defense is no joke. However, Green Bay is incredibly good at picking off QBs, and Clay Matthews can wreak havok. Another pick I don't feel great about, but I have to go with Green Bay over Seattle, by a narrow margin.
