Re: Bajema agrees to terms
That's a good pickup. Should do a better job of filling the blocking TE role than Becht did last year (and he's significantly younger).
The combination of a good lead FB and blocking TE should make a big difference in the running game, particularly in short yardage.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Bajema agrees to terms
I have a couple of questions:
1) What is going to happen to Randy Mcmichael?
2) Is this guy good enough to start ?
3) What makes him so good that he deserves a shot? Because I have no idea who this guy is, however, We ALL know that the heads of this organization have a better eye for talent than the previous ones do/did, so maybe Spagnuolo/Devaney see something in this kid that answers the number 2 question.

Re: Bajema agrees to terms
According to nfl.com, Billy B started 10 games for the whiners in 2008, and had a whopping 2 receptions!! One of the receptions went for 29 yds .. Can't help but wonder if his two receptions were against us ...
He's only 26 and hopefully can block better than what we've had. Steven Jackson must be feeling at least a little better - first Karney and now Bajema.

Re: Bajema agrees to terms
Of all our needs at depth OL, DL, LB, CB, WR, we get another TE???
I must be missing something, unless he is converted to a FB, I dont get it.

Re: Bajema agrees to terms
McMichael -- Passing game
Bajema -- Running game
1. Nothing
2. Depends
3. Blocking duties
Cool little side note, I played high school football and basketball against Billy Bajema(Westmoore), and attended the same college. He's a big guy, about my height (~ 6'5"/6'6"?), with a nice frame.Last edited by #39 Fan; -03-30-2009 at 04:25 PM.

Re: Bajema agrees to terms
I think Klop or Fells has to go now. This is Loosehan we don't need a million TE's. Klop has been a huge bust people forget he was a 2nd rounder and all the heat has been going to Hill and Barron who have more starts and played better at times. Klop hasn't done anything

Re: Bajema agrees to terms
I was implying that any pickup would have been better than a TE. But you asked, so i will say, what FB did the Giants run the ball behind? Ok, now If Karney goes down, who do we
have? If a TE goes down we got more than the whole NFL... We got TE's
like the Bucks got QB"s....Last edited by BEER; -03-30-2009 at 05:53 PM.

Re: Bajema agrees to terms
to say we set at TE without having a blocking one is like saying we dont need an OT because we got enough linemen!
3 TE`s would possibly be enough to enter the season with but thats over 5 months away...and out of the 3 we already have, none of them are blocking TE`s.Last edited by Ramblin` Ram; -03-30-2009 at 07:03 PM.
