Bartell on the radio

Bartell says:
"My heart wanted to stay in St Louis." "I didn't want to bail."

Asked if he was impressed by the coaching staff, he said that one of the changes that impressed him was the change in the front office. He said he was so happy Billy was made GM and was very impressed with Spags. He already knew his secondary coach (Lopez) from the Senior Bowl.

He was impressed with meeting the coaches, how he dropped in and they all spent time with him. He said it all starts at the top and the changes in the front office and in the coaching staff have him very excited. He is very hopeful about getting Butler, feels he is an underrated player. Overall Bartell seemed like a bright, nice guy.

Devaney did a great job bringing one of the Rams own in under fair market value.

So far, Devaney seems to be patient and methodical in his approach to free agency. I'm glad he did not panic over Bartell like so many Rams fans. Of course Devaney does have inside information and from all appearances he uses that info wisely.

Devaney seems like a cool, calm, and collected dude. He is one of those types that probably portrays the image that everything is going to be ok. And thank Goodness he's not running the ship like the 'Skins or Cowboys. Geez they'll spend money on anything ....

Devaney knows exactly what he wants and seems to present it in a no nonsense format. This is what it is, do you want it or not?

I get the feeling that some within the organization, like this young man Mr. Bartell, are starting to buy into the hype and drink a little Blue and Gold Kool-Aid ...
