Beating FRISCO is never having to say 'SORRY': PREDICTIONS PLEASE!
"It's the end of the World as we know it!"
One of the NFL's long standing rivalry between the San Francisco Fortyniners and the Saint Louis Rams is all knotted up at 60-60-2, Alltime in Head to Head matchups. SF & STL finished the decade of the 2000's in a tie (10-10). This weeks matchup at Candlestick Park will be the first meeting between the two teams this decade (2010's).
IF YOUR A RAM.....THIS IS WAR!!! PURE HATE!!! For the Rams' #1 Alltime Nemesis.....THE SAN FRANCISCO FORTYNINERS!!!
BULLETIN BOARD MATERIAL: NEVER FORGET!!!!

Rams - 24
Whiners - 14
Summary: Rams come out strong in the first and second quarters, scoring 17 points. Unfortunately, they allow a TD right before the half. The second half is a battle of defenses. Troy Smith QB sneaks his way into a long drive and manages to pull to within 3. However, the Rams respond the very next drive, killing time and putting the ball into the endzone for the game-icing TD. Close game all throughout.

******: 13
Rams: 23
the dropsies take away a couple td opportunities from Bradford and hands Josh Brown a couple consolidation fg's instead. niners get one good scoring drive and one lucky fumble that they're able to capitalize on for another score. haven't figured out how they get the 2nd field goal tho. i originally had them only getting 10 points but Troy Smith's sneaky shifty legs scare me into giving them another 3 pts somehow. (perhaps its a blocked extra point try instead?) hmmmm... i'll let you know when my magic 8 ball gives me something other than "reply hazy, try again"

As much as I hate to say it I think we'll lose a tight one away from home

First team to 20 points wins. I think this will be a brutal, physical game. While the rest of the country is watching the NY Giants blast the Cowboys by 30 points, the Rams and Niners will be playing a tight one into the 4th quarter.
I suspect the Rams will take advantage of Troy Smith's inexperience and turn sloppy play into some points. I'm hoping that will be the difference.
It may actually be a HUGE advantage that the Rams saw Smith in the preseason. He played the whole game for Baltimore in preseason game #4.

Re: Beating FRISCO is never having to say 'SORRY': PREDICTIONS PLEASE!
I see this as a game that really hinges on line play; both offensive and defensive line play. The Whiners have a pretty solid D, and we really need to keep Bradford on his feet. We also need to make a bit of space for SJ. As for our D-line, we need to get pressure on Smith, and keep Gore from breaking loose.
Away games have not been our strength this season. I have to go with SF (I think I just trew-up in my mouth a bit) in a close one.
RAMS..23
Whiners..27That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

Re: Beating FRISCO is never having to say 'SORRY': PREDICTIONS PLEASE!
It's tough to gauge the actual talent of Troy Smith. He did win in week eight versus the Broncos. However, the ***** only put up 24 points. The week before, the Broncos gave up 59 points to the Oakland Raiders. This will be Smith's first look at a solid defense.
I'll predict a score of 20-16 with the Rams getting the win.
