Re: Bernie Bytes: Defending Sam Bradford
I don't know that even if Bradford returns to some semblance of his rookie year form that the Rams will have a shot at winning the division next season. Aside from the multitude of holes on the team the rest of the division is way better than the Rams. Everybody else is 7-7 or better while the Rams are BURIED in last place at 2-12. Bradford has to get better just for the Rams to start thinking about .500.

Re: Bernie Bytes: Defending Sam Bradford
Yes, the Rams suck this year. Sam is not performing as well as he did last year. He also had an offensive line that made the '09 debacle look like an All-pro line. He had receivers who couldn't catch a cold, and he had injuries to all three running backs. And he's struggled to play with a busted ankle since the Packer game.
The defense has lost more corners to IR than teams bring to training camp. Our DT's regressed from what they should be, our OLB's are still below average. Our lone bright spots are our DE's, MLB and Safeties.
But to say that the team is hopeless, to say that Sam won't return to his level of last year, and that even if he does to say that we have no chance is foolish. No, he didn't create magic out of nowhere this year, but that doesn't mean that he's not going to become a top QB in this league. It means that he didn't have the support that ANY QB would need. Further, to say that he's done, and even to say that he's the biggest bust ever is to laugh at. He did more last year than Russell did in his whole career.
I still believe, in Sam and in this team. No, I'm not happy, but injuries doom a season. That's a fact. If you think that we will never get anywhere as long as Bradford is our Quarterback, feel free to come back after he retires as a career Ram. I won't miss you.I believe!

2-14 team to the playoffs next year? Not likely.

Re: Bernie Bytes: Defending Sam Bradford
Allow me to be the one who breaks this news to you:
You are not funny.
I know you think that this schtick of putting the "bust" or "sux" label on Rams' QBs is hysterical, but trust me... you're the only one.
In the end, all you are doing is making a complete fool of yourself.
I don't know you, so I don't know if you are capable of better quality posts. If you're not then I believe, for everyone's sake, you should just stop posting.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Bernie Bytes: Defending Sam Bradford
Pushing for the West is a little different from winning it. I know the Rams are behind the others at the moment, but things can change quick in the NFL. I just feel the Rams will be more competitive next season, it's not like were going into next year with JarMarcus Russell at QB. So their is a big possibility for improvement.?

Re: Bernie Bytes: Defending Sam Bradford
It is NO stretch to say that the Rams took on a bi-polar mentality with the introduction of McDaniel's style of play following 2010's WCO. It went from simple to nuclear physics complex.
First of all: Put ANY QB in that situation.
Second of all: Put a 2ND YEAR QB in that situation
Third of all: Surround that 2ND YEAR QB with the least talented receiver corp in the NFL
Fourth of all: IMMEDIATELY take away the most "reliable" receiver of the least talented receiver corp in the NFL
Fifth of all: Put a POROUS line in front of a 2ND YEAR QB with the least talented receiver corp in the NFL which has lost its most reliable receiver
Sixth of all: TAKE AWAY A YEAR OF PREPARATION from the 2ND YEAR QB with a porous line and the least talented receiver corp which has lost its most reliable receiver........
SHUT.UP.
