Bernie, Chris Draft

Why are they courting this guy? I'm not upset, but he's going to want to start, and he can't play the strongside at 232.......can he? If he can, why does the Rams brass WANT 3 small linebackers, especially behind our thus-far unimproved interior D-line?

And, Bernie, the insider's, response:

I don't know.

The NCAA Tournament is on -- I'm not worried about a draft that's five-six weeks away, though we will have a draft guy on today's show, just to get an update.

Well, seeing how St. Louis is a Sweet 16 site.....and teams from everywhere will be coming in to play......and Bernie is the Sports Editor for the PD.....it might be a priority for him to watch the NCAA Tourney so he can write about the teams coming into STL.

Priorities guys......

Funny thing is it reads like Bernie thinks the guy is asking a draft question and not about a guy named Draft.

If Bernie has the time to reply, why couldn't he take the time to read the question right and throw out a quick intelligent answer? I guess that's because unless it's gossip, rumors, or other tabloid type trash, Bernie doesn't have a clue about the Rams or football in general?? Maybe he should take a job writing for the Weekly World News.

I probably wouldn't have bothered with this thread if it were not for the fact that Bernie just published a column in which he, as Mr. Know-it-All, announced that the Rams were irresponsible for not signing defensive free agents.

He is good at stirring the pot but, quite clearly, his "insider" knowledge of what is actually going on is severely limited.
