Bernie says...
Humm...good info
..." that the Rams want to get a CB, DE and LB out of free agency." Haslett also reportedly joked he is the 4th best lb on the team.

Re: Bernie says...
I wonder if this means they're leaning toward nabbing a safety in the first round. I'm surprised that position wasn't mentioned for free agency, considering both spots [FS & SS] could be open for the taking... unless this also means they will keep Archie. With Archuleta's lack of production the past couple years, Shawgmunt could have some leverage in contract talks, and I believe Haslett would bring out the be[a]st in him. Plus, he's another season away from that back injury.
Funny comment by Haslett; we sure could use some nasty hard-nosed linebackers like he was. It'll be fun following all the defensive guys that come in this offseason. The more, the better.

Re: Bernie says...
I like the Haslett comment. Maybe Julian Peterson for LB? Pour salt on the wounds of the ****s. I like those other names, but Clements is going to cost an arm and a leg if he doesn't get franchised.

Re: Bernie says...

Re: Bernie says...
Linebackers I would be looking at would be
1) Will Witherspoon
2) Hunter Hillenmeyer
3) Cato June
4) Julian Peterson
And in that order. I think they are the only ones out there that would make a difference on this team.
Corners there isn't crap besides Clements. Maybe Hood would be worth a draft pick. I would focus on Ivy and Chris Johnson for as little money as possible.
Ends....
I like
1) John Abraham
2) Kimo von Oelhoffen
2) Kyle Vanden Bosch
3) Tyoka Jackson
Thats it!
We need a saftey or 5!! BOTTOM LINE!
1) Chris Hope
2) Adam Archuleta
No other help out there.Last edited by RamWraith; -02-15-2006 at 08:29 PM.

Re: Bernie says...
I love this kid. He has been backing up the middle in Chicago for a couple of years. He got some playing time a couple years ago when Eurlacher went down and played pretty well. He has learned from one of the best and is pretty young

I like Ivy, but I gotta pass on Chris Johnson big guy. He seldom seems to be in position. Got burned alot last year. I'd like Huff at FS.

Re: Bernie says...
I wish I got a paycheck for reporting that the Rams would like to add help at three defensive positions, perhaps the most obvious bit of Rams-related news in months.

Re: Bernie says...
I wouldnt be against signing Charles Woodson. I think he needs a change of scenery, and with all of the energy in St.Louis recently, I think it would be a perfect fit for him.
The Roman and The Prince. Playmakers until the end.
