    from Bernie's Pressbox--Mystery Man

    FROM BERNIE:

Jim Thomas reporting for Thursday's paper that Shaw interviewed another coaching candidate over the weekend -- and this coach hasn't been linked in any serious way with the Rams before now. Shaw won't crack and give up the name. He's keeping it hush-hush.

Who is it? I honestly have no idea. But there's a reason why it must be so clandestine. The coach must want to be as discreet as possible, and I assume this means he's in a sensitive situation.

Perhaps it is a college coach who doesn't want the word to get out and risk disrupting or destroying his recruiting.

I wouldn't be shocked to eventually discover it's Kirk Ferentz -- but I have no knowledge of that, and I am only guessing / speculating.

    Very interesting.

My other thought is that Dez was in from Loch Ness for the interview and as always, takes the low key approach to protect himself from the flocks of autograph seekers and groupies that typically track his every move.

It was Art Shell. Funny how he was mentioned before the season was officially over, but we haven't heard of any scheduled interviews with him.

It may have been TX. I haven't seen him post much lately, hone:

Actually, that was a quote from one of the funniest episodes of South Park ever.

Chef's parents are describing the time they met up with the Loch Ness Monster... have a listen...
