I said Bartell because if we didn't resign him, then that would have created a big hole at the Cornerback position, hence we'd have to use a draft pick on something that could have been prevented. I like the J. Brown signing and the Laurent Robinson trade just as much though

I had to go with J Brown. I think Brown is really going to improve this offensive line. I agree with Nibiru2012, we haven't had a a solid Center since McCollum.

Jason Brown came out of nowhere. Top 5 FA on the market and the Rams actually got him, that was total shock. Perfect symbol for the new regime.

The Robinson trade was second simply because it was great value.

Voted for JBrown. I agree in that he seems to be one of the true repairs (so far) of our OL. May he succeed!

Man, it's a close call between Brown and Bartell, but I have to go with signing a big, imposing presence at center who should pay dividends and make a difference immediately.

Re: Best Offseason Personnel Move (So Far)

I went with Bartell but all of the 3B crew were good moves.

We could have hedged our bets with Romberg and a lower round safety but re-signing Bartell not only solidified a starter spot but sent a positive reassuring message that the Rams were going to reward homegrown talent.

Great motivation for those numerous players like Barron, Culberson,et al, that playing for The Rams isn't just "doing time" until you leave for cash & rings.

I voted Jason Brown. The Rams would had to draft one of the top three centers coming out of college in round 2. (Mack , Wood or Unger). That filled a Huge need.

Re: Best Offseason Personnel Move (So Far)

i graded them on the basis of what we would likely have to give up to get a CHANCE of aquiring the same quality of player via the draft.

i have Bartell as a top 16 prospect with Brown a late 1st..

    Atogwe a late 1st,early 2nd

    Butler a mid 2nd

    Boller a late 2nd

    Robinson a late 2nd early 3rd

Karney somewhere between late 3rd and 5th round

Bejema a late round to FA pick up..

    therefore Bartell gets my vote.

To me, the best offseason move happened in the last week of the regular season, and that was to fire Zygmunt

I think it's close between Brown and Bartell, but can you imagine what our CB situation would look like without Bartell? That thought gave re-signing Bartell the nod.

    Can't argue with that.
