Best Ram Acquisition (so far)
What signing do you like the best, taking into account the player's age, past productivity, level of need, and the price tag the Rams had to pay to get him?

Can i vote for orlando pace and the long term contract as a write in? To me, its very similar to an acquisition, in that we have acquired long term stability at the position, cap relief and the services of The Big Man through both the off season conditioning program, the mini camp and all of training camp.

Re: Best Ram Acquisition (so far)
I like the Claiborne signing most. There's the potential for him to be a stud and moving him back to his natural position at MLB should help. He's also that big body in the middle we've needed for awhile.

When you go on a long flight, GC, and they ask "would you like the chicken or the fish?" do you answer "can I have filet mignon instead"?

ZZR, you nailed it. This is the 1st time in his career that Claiborne has the MLB spot to himself from Day 1. The last time that happened (USC) he dominated. And when he's played MLB on the short term basis (Detroit - while Boyd was injured, Minnesota - before they drafted EJ Henderson), he succeeded.

Re: Best Ram Acquisition (so far)
Claiborne for me. I actually wished he and Coakley would trade contracts - I'd rather have Coakley signed for three years and Claiborne for five.

Re: Best Ram Acquisition (so far)
I think Claiborne has the potential to be the type of headbanging "stop you in your tracks" linebacker the Rams have long been looking for. He has been the most productive when playing the "Mike" position throughout his career which is where the Rams want him. If C.C. can stay healthy and on the field for an entire season I think he'll prove to be the Rams' best offseason acquisition.

I agree its Claiborne for me as well lets hope he turns into the player he was expected to be coming out of college one he settles back into mike and we are extending his contract after this year.
I also like Williams as well we only trade him because ernie was back from injury

I am going with Dexter.
He will be the emotional leader as opposed to Cliaborne...who may become the physical leader.

I'm going to go with Stone. Bugs Bunny would be an upgrade over Rich Coady. Stone can also play special teams.
