Starting with the best: It occurred to me during the 1st half on offense when the starters were playing, that the team looked more disciplined than I could remember in recent years at this point in the preseason. Gone were the plethora of numbskull penalties, as the team moved the ball crisply, though in small increments, with the exception of the 25 yd laser to Bruce which resulted in a much needed 1st down. If it weren't for a bad decision by the refs on the Hedgecock fumble (his knee was down), and an even worse decision by Bulger forcing a throw into double coverage to Holt instead of hitting a wide open safety valve, the score might have been more respectable.

The worst: THe tackling overall was lamentable at best. There were a landslide of whiffs by our linebackers and secondary from the starters all the way to the 4th stringers ...
