You know, as I wrote this list, I thought "man... this has been a busy couple of months!"

I went with the trade by a whisker over the hiring of Fisher, but it was not an easy decision.

I really want to pick the "Trade". If Fishead was one, instead of two, I might have actually picked that, but I selected Bounty Gate because negativity sells. That will probably be what everyone points to as the reason we don't have a DC running the D. And they will be talking this for one of two reasons... They will be amazed at how the D is playing without a DC, or they will be pointing to a disorganized D because it has no real leader.

"The Trade". The Williams story is really more of a Saints story that also affects the Rams. Even if we lose Williams as coordinator permanently, it probably doesn't have the impact on the franchise that picking up all those extra picks could.

The Trade for sure. Given its potential to have ramifications over not only this offseason, but the next two offseasons in a row as well, it's the winner hands down.

I'm going to assume you are asking"which Rams story of the offseason was the biggest" to me/us as an individual. For me, beating the competition in the derby to hire Jeff Fisher was the biggest story. It said a lot about our new owner. I wasn't overly thrilled (I'm being extremely polite) with the late owner G.R. Having an honest to goodness owner who knows what he is doing and why, trumps everything for me. I knew from our draft position that we'd rake in the picks before Fish was ever hired, so getting a great deal there, was what I expected. Once again though, it was Stan that pulled the trigger to hire the guys who made the trade ..

I went with the trade because we'll be talking about it the next two off-seasons as we argue over the Rams will/should draft. In addition, I think it, more than the Fisher hire even, will decide the direction of this franchise over the next decade.

I think it's the Jeff Fisher hiring by far. We obtained the biggest name on the (ex) coaching circuit who expressed an interest in returning to coaching. That we did so without trying to get him on the cheap or being outdueled by Miami or anyone else was surprising, given our recent record of futility.

While noteworthy, I just don't see the trade as being something that is a huge item in the short term. If we win a couple of SuperBowls as a result of turning these picks into a jackpot, then that's another story.

And the Gregg Williams item will be yesterday's news in a month. And he'll be TOTALLY forgotten if the Rams defense is good this year.

The hiring of Fisher by a landslide. The big trade might not have happened if we still had DeSpags running the show. Fisher is going to be here for a long time. It's a new "legitimate" beginning for all of us.

The hiring of a concrete coach like(Fisher) far outweighs anything on this list. Especially the bunch of draft picks. I think you would have to be a born optimist, to choose the picks, over a cast iron leader like Fisher.

I picked the EJD renovation plans being rejected by the Rams. t could be the beginning of the end for the Rams in St Louis. It very well may not be, but if it is that definitely will resonate the loudest and longest.

The Rams defense will have to be pretty good, but if it is, I believe you will be proven correct. If in fact this comes to pass, it could be problematic for Williams if Goodell sees fit to grant him mercy and allows him to coach again in 2013. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality could win out ...

My choice was between the same two. I finally went with the hiring of Fisher because everything that has transpired for us, that will impact how we perform, was a direct result of hiring Coach Fisher. The naming rights of the EJD is a non-story, and the stadium issue will be on-going for awhile to come. That will only become a major story when it is resolved. Even then, only the Rams leaving STL would make the story top the hiring of Fisher. If we stay in STL, it's just business as usual.
