Bill Parcell, nice decision on steven jackson
A big thank you to bill parcells for altering the balance of power in the nfc for the next ten years by idiodically passing on steven jackson. This will turn out to be the single biggest blunder of parcells career and it is already costing him big time. Jackson may have a way to go, but he is clearly a man child of epic proportions, and unless dallas is going to suit up duane thomas and walt garrison next week, he is way better than anyone they have right now.

For all his talent as a coach, Parcells was never a great personnel man. I am SOOOOOOO glad that Jackson is wearing horns instead of a star.

Jackson is the real deal, and he'll only get better. What a great pick he's turned out to be in his very early and young career.

Re: Bill Parcell, nice decision on steven jackson
did you catch the scene where k. hamlin of the hawks tried to stand on top of sj after a run play? sj just stood up and stared right back down at him. hamlin just turned and walked away.... that's what 6'2" and 238lb of muscle can say....

Actually, I was one of the few people who both recommended and predicted the Rams would take a RB in the first round. I had them taking Chris Perry, who was, in fact, taken with the Rams' 26th pick. I never expected Jackson to fall as far as he did, but when the Rams picked him, I was cheering.

Re: Bill Parcell, nice decision on steven jackson
C'mon guys he was projected as the best RB in the draft so hold off on toooooting your own horn.
Parcells was crazy for passing up on Jackson. WIth a little luck and health Jackson will be the next Faulk in due time......

Re: Bill Parcell, nice decision on steven jackson
I don't think anyone is really tooting their own horn, I was actually talking to all the Jackson nay-sayers that were abundant right after the draft. I had the (mis?)pleasure of seeing him play my Ducks every year and knew this kid was good so his emergence is no real surprise, but there were a lot of people that were unhappy at the pick....

How much of the bright future that we see with Jackson is due to Marshall?
Not only does Jackson look up to Marshall, but Marshall is a willing instructor for him. Had Jackson gone to Dallas, do you all think he would be the player he has shown to be thus far?
Marshall is the MAN!! in soo many ways.

Re: Bill Parcell, nice decision on steven jackson
You are right, I do think, and credit, Marshall for helping to develope Jackson this year. He has become a much better blocker then he was at OSU and is also becoming a bigger threat receiving out of the backfield - all things that MF does with an amazing ability!

Great, great point gap. Jackson couldn't ask for a better situation than learning from one of the league's great running backs, both by watching him and by being his teammate.
