Blame the Defense
Its inexcusable for our defense to allow two touchdowns in 5 minutes. Not only that, but three of our defenders allowed a rookie 6th rounder make a one handed catch in between them.

Re: Blame the Defense
The O was even worse than the D today: we get four (count 'em.... FOUR) turnovers and accrue next to nothing from them. Blame Saunders, blame Bulger, blame the line, heck... Blame Canada!

Re: Blame the Defense
If we even scored on ONE of those turnovers, this game would have been ours. But somehow, we get a couple of yards on first and second down, and then incomplete pass on third. Saunders is horrible.

Re: Blame the Defense
Blame the defense??? For what? Busting their tails for 3.5 quarters and putting us in a position where we should have had 40+ points on offense?
Come on! At some point, the offense needs to do the job ...

Re: Blame the Defense
When the game is on thier shoulders to win, the O just can't do it. What is up with Jackson every game ???? He always finds a way to get an injury and try to stay in the game. Not enough plays by the WR's to put the game away, with Jackson stretching out his boo- boo. in the 3rd.
We need more play makers !!!

Re: Blame the Defense
We had one that was ready and willing to do damage in Kenneth Darby, who probably would have had 150+ yards in total offense should he had gotten the opportunities. Yet, the men in charge decided to play a hobbling S-Jax so he work towards his 1000 yards. Utter BS IMHO ....

Re: Blame the Defense
It is bad that they let two TDs happen at the end of the game, but they played so well during the game that I can't really place the blame on them. They gave the offense lots of opportunities and the offense did not execute.

Re: Blame the Defense
Saunders is a terrible OC. I hope him a safe trip out of Rams park.

Re: Blame the Defense
If Gore was 100% the game probably wouldn't have been as close as it was. The offense was ranked 29th and the defense 30th in the NFL going into the game. There's plenty of blame to go around I suppose. Bottom line, the Rams are a bad team and bad teams find a way to lose. The only way bad teams win is when both sides of the ball are 100% there the entire game. Today the offense was inept at times and the D folded down the stretch. In Rams land that equals another loss no matter the oppenent.

Re: Blame the Defense
I can't blame the D here. They intercepted Bruce, (I'm glad he made his milestone though), and you can't blame SJ, he played with the SAME injury.
OJ, Avery, and come on..........The bomb to Burton? Avery's catch after it was tipped?
It was a good game, and we failed in the last few seconds.
Gotta love Cog. What were they thinking about putting these two little commercials on air?
1. "Cog loves chicks."
2. "Cog loves In and Out".
Play calling was terrible yet again. Please say you are leaving Saunders.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
