    BLOG REPORT: Faulk not likely to play again for anyone

    While Marshall Faulk keeps saying that he wants to come back and play one more year -- and is keeping the door open for the possibility of playing in Detroit -- I talked to someone very close to the situation who said it's not going to happen.

    Yes, Faulk wants to play again, but his knees are shot and my source said Faulk's body probably won't allow him to ever play again. He also said that Faulk has not been working out and that "he doesn't look like a guy who will play football again.''

    We'll see what happens in a few months, but it appears Faulk is a longshot to play for the Lions -- or anybody else.
    This was posted yesterday on a Lions web blog writer by an experienced Detroit beat writer.

    Faulk was on KJR 950 AM [a Seattle Sport Radio Station] and said he will not start working out until after the Superbowl in February. This was on Wednesday 01/31/07.

    He said his first choice was to return to the Rams. The host did ask him about playing for Martz again in Detroit but said everything is speculation at this point and he has not talked to anyone yet.

    Faulk also had this to say about SUper Bowl 36

    POSTED BY NJRAM
    Faulk was on Mike and the Mad Dog in NY today and made the following comments;

    1. The Pats had 8 guys in the box the whole SB and double teamed Marshall on every pass play. They had to throw.
    2. The mugging of the Wr's was a huge piece. If the refs then had today's rules The Rams would have killed them.
    3. The other player had to make plays which they did not in that SB since the Pats took MArshal away.
    4. They were a very unselfish team and no one cared who got the ball and the Td's.
    5. They made huge adjustments at halftime and would have won if the D stopped the Pats.
    6. Still a bit bitter about that loss.

    I'm also still very bitter about that loss. The only thing that ease some of that anger is another Lombardi trophy. Let's get this show on the road!! Greatest show on turf, take 2!!
