A Bold Prediction

The Rams are 0-3 to start the year and one of their wideouts has made a bold statement for week 4.
The Rams have started the year 0-3 and have produced very little in the way of offensive excitement. However, that didn’t stop Rams wide receiver Isaac Bruce from making a bold prediction.
On his weekly radio show in St. Louis, airing on 590-AM KFNS, Bruce told show co-host Bob Fescoe that he guaranteed victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
“I guarantee a win this week,” said Bruce on Tuesday night.
Bruce is second on the Rams in both receptions (14) and yards receiving (179). The Rams have managed just two offensive touchdowns on the season, both to fellow wide receiver Torry Holt, they rank 25th in the NFL with 291.7 yards per game average

Re: A Bold Prediction
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!!
Look, no disrespect to anyone, but when it's all set and done, Isaac Bruce is one of the top wide receivers to ever play the game. He is a class act and a stand-up guy, on and off the field. For him to stand up and guarantee victory, if this doesn't motivate our group of guys, then I do not know what can. Typically, Bruce is very quiet, you might not hear him speak a word all season. This is a great move by Ike. It does nothing to harm his credibility: it would be a different thing if a rookie was making such a guarantee. I sure hope his teammates are listening, but I fully expect Ike Bruce to show up this week after making a statement like that.
KUDOS TO BRUCE! This is just what we might need to get us going. If Ike believes, why can't everyone else?
I don't understand those who believe this is a mistake. We cannot be any lower than we are right now. Dallas doesn't need any motivation to take us on, they are on top of the world. I think this can only benefit us and instill some confidence in the younger guys ...

Re: A Bold Prediction
ballsy but what is he going to have to say after he loses, not to be cocky but the rams are filled with injuries and werent playing well before the injuries, i dont see them winning
Maybe there offense keeps it close but in the end i dont think they can hang with us

Re: A Bold Prediction
Nice to see that the players at least aren't looking around and pointing fingers after three disappointing games.

Re: A Bold Prediction
Nothing wrong with the prediction. Sir Isaac is a man of faith and as Infiniti said, it is the perfect motivator for the team, an incentive coming from a well respected Ram.

Re: A Bold Prediction
The only way I see this as a negative is that if it gets Dallas even more excited to play. Maybe, just maybe they assumed a win and were subconsciously taking it easy. Not now!

Romo2Superbowl.. When exactly were the Rams healthy where you could see that they "weren't playing well before the injuries"?
We started game 1 with players out and it only got worse from there.
BTW- You better hope that Dallas wins, cause if they don't- they just lost to possibly one of the worst team in the NFL. They are going to look foolish if that happens.Last edited by supachump; -09-26-2007 at 08:43 PM.

Re: A Bold Prediction
You have to overcome injuries, dallas has been without there best corner til last week and he still isnt starting
And we dont have Terry Glenn whos been a big time reciever for us, then we lost our nose tackle for the year

Re: A Bold Prediction
Don't we wish we could "predict" no injuries too. :\

Re: A Bold Prediction
That's not the point. You said that the Rams offense wasn't working before the injuries. My point is.. WHEN WAS THAT? We entered the Carolina game with people out and then immediately lost more OLine and of course, it has only gotten worse. There was no "before the injuries"

Re: A Bold Prediction
Obviously I want a win this Sunday. I could care less who we are playing, I just want a win. If Issac is guaranteeing a win that's allright with me. Just win!!!!
