I was at the game, and unfortuanltey i have to agrree..its only 1 preseason game, but Boller looked more explosive and confident then bulger..

I don't think I've ever seen a fired up or overly confident looking Bulger. It's not his presonality to show that. People need to stop expecting it to come out of no where. Marc did fine from what I saw.

Agreed, you can't expect someone to behave like someone they're not, and then criticize them when they don't. For all of Boller's fire and confidence, he completed three of nine passes against the second team defense.

I didn't get home in time to see the game and Warden didn't set the DVR for me... but it is only preseason and there is a reason Boller hasn't stuck with a team yet.

I saw the 2nd half and, well, it looked like a preseason game.

There are many, many reasons why Boller is journeyman backup ...

And of course, because a QB can run, that definitely means they have more "FIRE" ....

Last I checked, Bulger was 4-4, for 77 yards ...

If I had a nickel for every time fans got excited about a backup's play during the preseason and called for the starter to be replaced I'd be....well....probably unable to move with all those nickels in my pockets, but you get my point. I do wonder though, with all the methamphetamine produced in West Virginia, you would expect Bulger to be more demonstrative!

So does being there make it more clear then watching it in hd on the NFL network? You mean Rocko screaming obscenities and spilling his multiple beers all over the bleachers is easier to see through than a front row seat from your couch? You mean you could clearly see through Mike from Brooklyn orgasming from his mouth over Sanchez for completing 3 passes? You mean you could clearly see the game through all the fans constantly saying ay yo Sanchez is the next coming of Joe Namath WOAH?

I saw Bulger go 4-4 for 77 yards against starters while Boller looked average against backups. But hey if bounce in their steps is important and a key tool to a winning qb then maybe we should bench Bulger in favor of Boller. After all in Baltimore Boller had a bounce in his step and was nothing more than a backup starting for no better reason then there was no one else on the roster better than him.

Lets add bounce in his step as another one of those phantom intangables that Bulger doesnt posess.

Well said R.I., many, many reason, just go back to any Baltimore Ravens tape from a few years ago, the guy has a cannon for an arm but no accuraccy although he has a great motor/energy. Bulger did fine last night even without his #1 WR and the Jet's seemingly entire blitz package at him; please for the love of Yahweh leave the guy alone.
