You're right. He's on our bench with an injury to his throwing arm right now. Get well soon, Marc!

Not comparable at their best.. and now as the injuries start taking their toll, thanks to genius game plans and the same porous O-line that Warner battled through like a warrior.... I guess Bulger gets kicked to the curb next, huh?

The TEAM was positioned to be a dynasty. It was something Rams fans of my age had waited for all our lives. No longer the Vikings or Cowboys ending our season before reaching the Super Bowl.

But.. because of the pride of one individual leading the team... we're in a place where we can't even make the playoffs in a year where 8-8 might just get you in in the NFC. Where, despite the Seahawks giving us every opportunity, we won't have a shot at the brass ring.

Where's the season we were promised with the Wunderkind at the helm? Granted, there aren't as many interceptions as TDs this year... but the boy's no Warner. And the boy doesn't use his tools like Warner did.

And the facts are these: Even the Giants looked like they might have made the playoffs with Warner leading them.

Ah well. We get to suffer until the pride in the Ram's front office is dispelled. It may be years before they admit their mistakes.

Truly sad. Someone set me straight. Upon what should we place our hopes for the future?

    I'm not seeing it.

Jackson would be about it. Tinoisamoa too. Who else?

Pace doesn't want to be here. Bruce and Faulk are about done. We're not stopping the other team.

We had the greatest show on turf... and what do we have to show for it? 1 SB championship and one SB loss. 2 missed playoffs, and 1 one-and-done.

Yes, we would have had to begin reloading about this time regardless... but we should have been doing it with at least 3 championships and 2 runners-up. We had the talent and we wasted it.

Tell me how I'm wrong. :disappoin

    Re: Booooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Mike. Reading the warning from dez, I'm just wondering how long before I'm banned. :disappoin

I have never been in such a position as a Rams' fan.

Even as we spiraled under John Robinsonin the final years, I never felt like he put himself before the team. Even as Chuck Knox proved the NFL had passed him by, I never found myself despairing as a fan. I admit under Brooks, and the move to St. Louis.. I gave myself 2 years to either get off the wagon, or hang with the team. (A little rule I have.. if my team moves from one city to another, I get to bail on it like it bailed on me... I have a grace period) But I decided to stay when Vermeil showed he had something..

But from early on in Martz' reign, I had the profound sense that it was all about Martz. All about the "Genius". He wanted to be the Reggie Jackson. The Straw that Stirred the Drink. There has been paranoia.. there has been Machiavellian intrigue. It is just uncomfortable to watch us implode like this.

What a waste of talent. Sure.. sometimes "the gods" conspire against you.. and what can you do against "fate"... but just as Hubris brought down Odysseus (sp)... Martz' Hubris has resulted in the rest of the NFL a'la Circe.. turning his gather "men" into nothing more than wild animals.

    Whew.

Sorry for waxing analagous.. lol.. couldn't help myself!

Funny, I thought we were talking about the 2004 Rams. I guess I must be in the wrong forum.

You're wrong for suggesting that Bulger is the reason the Rams have had trouble this year.

You're wrong in thinking #13 would have done any better.

You're wrong in failing to recognize that Bulger has played better this year than #13 has.

You're wrong in thinking #13 is capable of playing like he did from 1999-2001.

You're wrong in making a post about Chandler (and, to some extent, about Bulger's absence) about #13.

    You're just plain wrong.

How the hell could you say Bruce is about done, that is one of the most ridiculous statements I've seen here yet. Bruce has over 1000 yards rec, he could possibly go to the pro bowl, but Bruce is about done. Cmon Wake Up. The Rams problems are the O Line, the Defense, and Special Teams.
