Bradford, Feeley Sit Again; Clemons Arrives

Bradford, Feeley sit again; Clemens arrives

    BY KATHLEEN NELSON
    Friday, December 9, 2011

Once again, neither quarterback Sam Bradford (ankle) nor A.J. Feeley (thumb) practiced Friday. Newcomers Tom Brandstater and Kellen Clemens shared the work in the Rams' preparation for the Seattle Seahawks on Monday. Friday was Clemens' first day in the Rams' system.

"I was thoroughly impressed with stepping into the huddle and rattling off the terminology," coach Steve Spagnuolo said of Clemens, a backup with the Jets for five years. He was signed by Washington in July, released in September, then picked up by Houston. The Texans waived him Tuesday.

Others who didn't practice were defensive end Chris Long (ankle), defensive tackle Fred Robbins (back), running back Quinn Porter (oblique) and fullback Brit Miller, who tweaked his knee in warm-ups.

The Rams added defensive tackle Cornell Banks to the practice squad and released quarterback Matt Gutierrez. Banks was released from the Bengals' practice squad Wedneday.

Spagnuolo referred to the practice as spirited, "got in some MMA work," because linebacker Brady Poppinga mixed it up after the whistle with a couple of his teammates on the offensive line.

"Brady practices a certain way. I think the guys know and appreciate it," Spagnuolo said.

RAM-BLINGS: Running back Jerious Norwood was fined $7,500 for a chop block last week vs. San Francisco. ... ***** linebacker Ahmad Brooks was fined $15,000 for roughing the passer when he struck Feeley in the head and neck area in 4th quarter. ... Tight end Fendi Onobun, a Rams' draft pick in 2010, signed with Buffalo, his fifth team this season.

He split the reps with Clemons today though. Its a good sign he will play. It shows what a competitor Sam is for the Rams. Im certain he will play on Monday.?

I hope Bradford sits. No need to risk another injury on a wasted season.
