Bradford tests ankle with trainer, but doesn't practice

Quarterback Sam Bradford did some work behind closed doors Friday with head athletic trainer Reggie Scott, attempting to drop back in the pocket and trying on some braces to support the high ankle sprain on his left foot.

But Bradford wasn't on the practice field Friday, meaning that other than Saturday's walk-through session he has missed the entire practice week in preparation for Sunday's game at Dallas.

"We'll take it one day at a time, and we'll see where we're at on Sunday," coach Steve Spagnuolo said, whose overall tone seemed doubtful on Bradford's availability against the Cowboys.

Officially, Bradford was listed as questionable on the Rams' official injury report. Backup A.J. Feeley again took all the reps in practice Friday. "He's done a nice job," Spagnuolo said.

The Rams can wait till Sunday to decide Bradford's status. But if they want another healthy QB on the active roster _ namely, practice squad QB Tom Brandstater _ they have until 3 p.m. Saturday to do so. After that point, no changes to the 53-man roster can be made.

***Neither WR Mark Clayton or CB Marquis Johnson will be on the game-day roster Sunday. Both are in their first week of practice following stints on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and are knocking off the rust.

***Once again, DE C.J. Ah You (wrist) and CB Brian Jackson (knee) didn't practice and both will miss the Dallas game.

***DE Eugene Sims was held out of Friday's practice after experiencing migraine headaches, but barring further complications is expected to play Sunday. He's listed as probable.

***S Quintin Mikell was back at practice Friday after missing Thursday's session because his wife was giving birth to a baby girl.
