Re: Bradley Fletcher, from a fan who has watched his entire career.

Great input from our resident Hawkeye's expert. I feel much better about the pick now, or more accurately, down right excited about it. Thanks 16!

There is alot to be excited about this season!

    Go Rams!!!

16 I ermember when you first started posting. Great post, but you know what I like that I have been lately here? Is the fact 2 of the Defensive players we got can tackle . Laringitus and Feltcher,Now that is a comodity we didn't have last year.Hope this D kicks ass.

It's not exactly where I'd like to see him starting out, but if he's put out there, he'll do well. As you can see, very reliable tackler, so he won't miss the returner coming up field.

He can do it well, but as I said. I'd rather not see him as our main special teams guy.
    thanks for the info...

i can see and sort of understand why youd not want him too involved in ST`s...off the bat anyway atleast, let him concentrate on becoming an NFL CB and as it seems he may be asked to cover the FS spot if O.J. goes down then two roles on the team should be enough for any rookie..i just wanted to see whats under every stone,so to speak.

i saw the youtube of this guy, VERY impressive...very agile, athletic & breaks up passes..i cant say wether he'll be starting or not, but if he isnt, then the guy in front of him must be the closest thing to a shadow of a receiver as it gets..

Nice post 16. I've done a little research on Fletcher and it sounds like he's got great reflexes and uses them to make plays on the ball and deflect passes. I'm thinking he could develop into a playmaker and ball hawk. That vertical leaping skill isn't going to hurt either.

I can definitely see that happening, am I a little to optimistic? Probably, but there's just something coming from the vibe of Fletcher, that makes me feel really excited for him. His size, speed, athleticism, GOOD character, hard work, great ethic and about everything about him.

Thanks for the insight, 16. I was initially disappointed by the selection of Fletcher, simply because I believe that we have more pressing needs than another young cornerback, but the fact that you believe that he could be good enough to start from day one has done a lot to assuage my fears. A potential starter is better than another depth player, after all.

Let's hope that Bradley turns out to be as good as you think he will.
