Re: Brandon Lloyd is a RAM
it seems pointless at this time.. why try to plug holes in the dam?
We are going to be what...? 0-7? 0-8? before we have a shot at a win.. 5-11 and 6-10 is pointless.
lets get the BEST spot in the draft, pick up Luck, trade him for 2 firsts and a 2nd rounder, and lets create a dynasty. Get quality WRs, not someone who might be a good #3 or #5 option.

Re: Brandon Lloyd is a RAM
remember Sam still needs time to throw to them,so hopefully this will pump up the o-line like it has the fans and they keep Sam upright.

Re: Brandon Lloyd is a RAM
I would give up a fourth in a heartbeat, it also gives Sam confidence that someone in the huddle actually knows the OFFENCE..

Re: Brandon Lloyd is a RAM
You can use a lot of negative adjectives to describe Lloyd and most I wouldn't disagree with but "washed up" implies to me he has nothing left in the tank. Leading the league last year says there is still plenty left in the tank if you know how to get it out. Guess what... we have the one guy who figured out how to get it out.
Did I miss an article where the ***** and Patriots offered to trade for him? I don't know if he is chasing money or McDaniels... but probably both.

Re: Brandon Lloyd is a RAM
Most likely we aren't going to get the talent lloyd has in the fourth round of the draft. This is a great move imho, if for noting else then to prevent Sam from killing one of his own players due to them not catching the ball.

Re: Brandon Lloyd is a RAM
Its offical -- rams give up a 6th round pick.....it could become 5th if lloyd # of catches

Re: Brandon Lloyd is a RAM
Im still against this trade but will glady be the first to admit i was wrong if he produces for us the rest of the season.
In no way does this change that we need a true #1. We better take a wr in 1st round if Blackmon/Jeffery are still on the board when we pick.

Re: Brandon Lloyd is a RAM
If that's the case, then that's a lot better than the third or fourth some fans were willing to give up, which IMO would have been much too high for a risk like Lloyd. Now, if the Rams can sign him to a modest extension rather than the big pay day he's probably looking for, even better.
I still don't view Lloyd as a significant upgrade or the top flight receiver the Rams need, so I hope that the Rams don't compensate Lloyd - either in what they trade away or what they financially commit to - as one either.
