Talks will "intensify" late Sunday, and the Broncos are trying to move him before Monday's practice begins. They're still targeting a "mid-round draft pick." Lloyd is familiar with the basic concepts of New England's offense because of his background with McDaniels, who is now the coordinator in St. Louis. Lloyd's best landing spot in terms of fantasy value would likely be with the Rams, where he'd immediately take over as the No. 1 receiver. The ***** would be a worst-case scenario.I think the ***** and Broncos put that together because obviously the Broncos want the Rams to give up more for Lloyd. I think the ***** gave the Broncos the permission to say they had the most interest making us think we have to improve on our initial offer. The Rams obviously didn't bite snagging him with a 6th or 5th round pick. The ***** would of benefited because we're in their division, and the Broncos because they want more in return.Makes sense huh?
Actually, getting Lloyd for a 6th, or 5th if he plays well enough, seems like a good deal to me.

Denver Bronco's agreed on a 6th round pick for Lloyd and his hands with 10 fingers... but given our taste for WR they agreed on a conditional pick for lloyd with no hands...
Front office will make a decition soon... stay tuned

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that veteran wideout Mike Sims-Walker was released to make room for Lloyd.

this better just be a bandaid and not meant to a permanent solution for the gaping wound at wideout. lloyd isn't a burner by any means so i still don't see how this works

It's not going to matter who we get at WR if Smith/ Saffold dont stop the false starts and ****ty pass blocking! heck poor Sam is getting killed back there!

Glad to see that the Rams haven't given up on the season. Picking up Lloyd is a great move!

On another note - Sims-Walker was scheduled to catch a flight out of St. Louis, but dropped it.

Anyone know what number he will wear? DX is currently 84, which is what Lloyd wore at Denver. But he has also worn 85 (while with the Niners and Skins) and 80 (while at Chicago). However, 80 and 85 are retired for Isaac Bruce and Jack Youngblood, and the only number available in the 80s is 82

I was actually thinking 81, but he will probably dissapoint and go in the 'teens like all the WR's from today.

81 is taken by Stephen Spach right now

Of course Lloyd could work out a deal with someone to get their number, but we will have to see

Interesting, now, we have 2010 NFL and NCAA (FBS), receiving yardage leaders, both (Lloyd/Salas). Also Alexander was NCAA (FBS) leader in the same category, year before. In 2011, I believe, Rams are sure leaders in dropped passes. What an absurd!

I think Lloyd will be a great mentor for Pettis. They are similar styles of WR, and Lloyd was a late bloomer. I think he can show Pettis how to train in practice to become better.
