CONFIRMED: I mentioned last week on The Big 550, KTRS that it appeared that Charley Armey would remain with the St. Louis Rams, and that is was unlikely the massive changes expected in the personnel department would come to fruition.

This morning, Bernie Miklasz, on 1380, reported his sources had confirmed that Armey would remain with the team in a role that will focus on the draft. Miklasz, during The Bernie Miklasz Show, also indicated that it was unlikely the Rams would bring aboard a pro personnel director.

This is breaking news, but I'm not so sure it's good. I do think the Rams need to have a pro personnel department.

I think Armey should be allowed to do his job period. He has proven in the past that he is more than capable to make personal decisions and to find talent, just let him do it.

This doesn't bode well without him having a defined role with a title. He needs authority to make final decisions or have a large portion of the pie. I like Armey and if left to do his job with authority he would succeed again instead of have the handcuffs on.
Didn't I read in another thread that Zymunt was gaining even more power than in the past ?
