RAM BITS: Defensive end Leonard Little, who has been out because of a flu virus, returned to practice and participated in all of the team’s drills Thursday…The Rams had their first serious injuries of training camp during Thursday afternoon’s practice…Safety Ron Bartell suffered a sprained left ankle during a passing drill and was carted from the field. The status of his return to practice is unknown…Linebacker Drew Wahlroos broke his right hand during the practice and is also uncertain…The annual visit of NFL officials to the training camps around the country came to St. Louis on Thursday and runs through the weekend…The offense finished Thursday’s practice so poorly that the group was asked to stay after and do some extra running…Linehan was frustrated with the amount of presnap (false starts) penalties on the unit during practice.

this sucks. i hate injuries, we were just talking about keeping our secondary healthy and now this happens.

hmm will that is just perfect, maybe he can comeback at the start of the seaon, or maybe he wont miss anytime at all, who knows but All i can say is, lets get through the PS and get to the Superbowl.

A sprained ankle does not sound that bad, but getting carted off the field for it might mean that it is more serious.

things could be worse, we could have our premier players getting injured. too bad for drew, that must suck breaking your hand. hopefully he can get back and still compete.

Well, according to Linehan (as usual lol), everything is fine, and it's not going to be a problem, and he is looking forward to when everyone will be back in camp.

Bartell is one of my players that is NOT supposed to get injured in TC!

I hope the cart ride was just a precautionary measure and that after evaluating the foot, it will turn out to be a minor setback.

I broke my ankle and was skateboarding again in 6 weeks, He should be just fine with a sprain.

lets hope its not a high ankle sprain. I appreciate the medical analysis from all the doctors on the board, but ankle sprains come in many different degrees and there is a wide range of seriousness. Right now, we have little bordering on no data.

To me, the most important thing is to make sure that we dont rush him back. He needs to be fully healthy to minimize the risk of reninjury. That could mean one day off or one week off, i defer to the rams team doctors.

This is very disapointing. I really hope that it isnt that serious cause i really thought this could be his year to shine. but now that hes injuried, he might not get the chance to go fight for the FS starting spot if he doesnt recover
