Speedy recovery and get back here quick, miss you big guy!
Thoughts and Prayers are with you friend!! Get better and dont let up.
I've been aware of this for a short while, and as someone who knows Randy and has hung out with him on numerous occasions, it came as a dreadful shock. My thoughts and prayers are with he and his family as they work their way through this ordeal.
Everyone should know that Randy is a fighter. He's battled back from this insidious disease before, and he can do it again. If I'm able to attend this years Bash, I fully expect to see Randy there.
God's speed bigredman.
Positive thoughts are with you big man.
:helmet:
Stay strong. Keep up the fight. I'm not a big prayer, but my Mother-in-law is involved in countless prayer groups. I've already asked her to add you to her groups list. This place isn't the same without your humor.
For those that are interested, Randy has been posting updates on his CarePage. If you go there and register, you can leave him comments as many of you have. Some of you may feel odd or awkward about posting from A) not having met Randy or B) it kind of freaks you out to even hear the "C" word. Please do not let either of those things hinder you from dropping a line to him.
His wife asked me to help keep him laughing. Quite honestly, I need your help with this. Even though I believe that Randy will overcome this affliction, it hurts me that Randy has to endure the pain of the treatments necessary to fight off this invader. So, I have a harder time with keeping him amused as I think about how he is feeling many times through the day. If you can help with this, I would appreciate it.
Sounds like a great idea Alpha. Could you provide the web address of the CarePage?
As far as I am concerned this is the most important thread we have going, how about a sticky? Otherwise we can just keep bumping it to the top.
My wife is religious, and I am not, but she told me that God can hear my prayers even if I do not believe, so I am praying like crazy for Randy! ComeOn!
my thoughts and prayers are with you bro...hope all goes well

There is the link. I am certain that he would be happy to hear from anyone here on CR.
Get well soon man.
Randy's computer isn't working right so he hasn't been able to come to ClanRam. He has been accessing the computer at CTCA and reading/posting on his CarePage (link in my previous post). His wife sent this to me a few moments ago:
"Randy is very worried about the results (and so am I)....but the more he laughs, the pain is less and he eats a little better. Hopefully they will give us some news today that will give us some hope."
I have to head to work, but if any of you can go over there and post, that would be great.
(Sam, I saw your message and will see what I can do. Good idea!)
You are in my prayers Big Redman!
You and your family are in my prayers Big Guy. Keep fighting as we all know you will.
Update from Randy:
"I have three confirmed malignant tumors on my pancreas. One of them is wrapped around an artery, so they cannot operate to remove the pancreas. I am going into surgery monday morning to put a port into my chest in which chemotherapy drugs will be administered (less damage than going into veins in the arms). There is also abnormalities in the lymph nodes near my pancreas. They are unable to confirm that they also have cancer at this time. My cancer is classified as Stage 3, which is advanced, but can be brought back to stage two with treatment. Monday afternoon I begin the first of three chemotherapy treatments. Each treatment consist of three sessions, one each day for three days. Each treatment is separated by three weeks. So I get chemotherapy monday, tuesday and wednesday and fly home thursday. After three weeks, I come back to CTCA for another three days and so one. On the third visit back, they will do another CT Scan to see if the tumors have deminished. Hopefully the one wrapped around the artery will have withdrawn enough to do surgery (called a whipple procedure). The chemotherapy drugs are Docetaxel, Oxaliphlatin, and Gemzar (Gemcitabine Hydrochloride). My cancer is not curable. They can only manage the symptoms and slow down the spreading of it, but it will eventually kill me (usually by spreading to other parts of my body and becoming resistant to chemotherapy). I am determined to fight to add as many years onto my life as I can and hopefully they will find a cure during that time.
Love the jokes and letting me know what's going on in your lives. It makes for a great escape."
I've uploaded a couple of different "purple ribbon" pics for anyone to use as an avatar or signature pic. If you have others, let me know and I'll add them to the photo album.
