Re: Bulger Bashers!
Kurt Warner had injuries that lead to his down years but if you look at his production it was really turned around in 2004. That isn't exactly a regression of his abilities rather a physical barrier that healed with time.
Nobody really has a bell curve of production because as a team sport there are multiple factors that determine success just as there are for individual reasons. Look at Marc's yards per attempt:
2004=8.2
2005=8.0
2006=7.3
2007=6.3
2008=6.2
Compare that to a very similiar slide by Peyton Manning. Peyton may win 2 more Superbowls (he's still a great QB) but he is definitely on the regression side of his career. The age of 33 backs it up along with the stats.
A lot of people are looking at Hasselbeck's career as almost over at 33 years of age. Marc is 32. This is a guy that in 3 years will be considered old by QB criteria. The Rams are going to have to take a position because just as the team is getting to a rebuilt state - Bulger will be physically done.

Re: Bulger Bashers!
I just don't think Bulger has ever been able to provide a spark for this team.
