    WOW!!

I listened to this whole interview...talk about reporters bending things to read what they want them to read. They took everything out of context...UNREAL!! You wonder why athletes hate the media so bad.

    Re: Bulger interview

you must have the most updated Quicktime in order to listen. Like I said it is a file that must be downloaded, if you don't have anything to open an .aiff file it won't work.

If someone can download it and change and repost a file and or link that would be great.

Worked fine for me in winamp. He's seems very set on being with the Rams. He didn't even talk about a possible future with anyone else.

Well there are quotations online now, in articles. These are transcribed direct quotations.

    Adam Schein, Fox Sports
    .

Could the team leader hold out of training camp?

"We'll see if that will happen," said Bulger. "I don't think that will happen. But you never know. I don't want to rule anything out. The Rams have been good to me. I've been here my entire career. I hope it will work out."

Yeah, I listened to that whole thing and the way the sports writers were reporting on it you'd think the sky was falling. But really this d oesn't show me anything new on the situation. Everyone wants Bulger to be here, we just need to get it done.

I didn't get that same "sky is falling" impression. Maybe you could quote something.

They said he said he would not rule out a hold out. And in fact, when asked about a hold out...he said, "I don't want to rule anything out."

So, maybe he should choose his words more carefully next time.

But I did not see any big distortions in the press accounts.

    Re: Bulger interview

Its the way they emphasize the 'snippets' like that quote about a holdout that distorts the entire interview out of context. Of course, I pretty much think all reporters are slimeballs and I find more reasons to think that way all the time. Guess if I put out a banquet table of free food and drink at my house, some would find their way here so's I could tell them so personally, Ya think?

Well, if you think they are all slimeballs, then, you will think that in advance regardless of the evidence.

I still don't see the big distortions people are talking about. Telling me how awful all reporters are (including the good ones) doesn't really help me see that in this case.

    Re: Bulger interview

    You know z...

First you come out say how you don't believe what is being written and that basically the media is blowing it out of proportion, and how you can not wait to hear the real interview and hear his quotes. Then you come out and say how great the media is and they basically hit the nail on the head with this one. I get the impression you just like to try to get people wrapped in some sort of drama, or maybe you just like to be heard...I am not sure which. You make things interesting that for sure...I am just not sure which side of the fence you are most of the time.

    Re: Bulger interview

What are you guys talking about? Are there articles out there where they are talking about this interview?

Reporters have to put a spin on things to make it interesting. That does not make them slimeballs.
