I could care less where the RAMS call home. I will always be a RAMS fan no matter what.

Sorry to all our Missouri fans.....and anyone else that is close to St Louis.

Now this to me is an interesting concept here. I couldn't find the numbers from a post I wrote previously, but Stan really didn't pay top dollar for this team. I think his initial investment in the 40% of the team which was less than 50 million and he paid the kids 475 Million for the balance of the other 35 to 40% ( I think they still own 10-15%, but not certain on that). The point is Stan is shrewd with his money. He paid around 600 million for a 900 million dollar team. He certainly doesn't want to finance a billion dollar stadium, but what if he does take over operations of the dome and puts in say 250 million to make it a decent stadium and "better" convention center? So now he has his team in St. Louis, he obviously has a much better chance of building a better team than the Frontiere's did, and the topper, he can charge the City of St. Louis for running their convention center?....interesting...

Do the fans in St.Louis think the Rams would have left LA if the deal was come build us a new stadium on your dime? The original deal included a top rated stadium whats changed? I don;t mind the Rams being in St.Louis as long as they continue to support the team and that includes a stadium where the fans will want to go and have a rockin time supporting the Rams!
20 years ago, the RAMS were going to Baltimore, until St Louis offered a better deal. They still would have left a city that will only support a winner. Deal with it.

For what it's worth, I don't think any city should build a stadium for any sports team. I felt that way when tagbut tried to extort a stadium out of St Louis before the skid bird left. I feel that way about the NFL extorting a stadium out of LA to get a team to move to, and I feel that way now about the RAMS wanting a top tier stadium in St Louis. Unfortunately for St Louis and the CVC, they already have it in writing that they will do just that. IMO, if any team in sports wants a better stadium, build it yourselves. They is plenty of TV revenue coming in, in addition to over-priced game-day tickets and concessions, for them to build thier own stadiums. They can then lease them out when they aren't in use for footbal games.
