Can Spags turn Tye Hill into the next Corey Webster?

Webster was a total bust until Spags got ahold of him. Can he do a similar makeover on Tye Hill?

I hope so. If Tye Hill can develop into a solid corner, then our cornerback corps will be outstanding. Assuming Bartell will improve even more under Spags, we will have Bartell and Hill opposite one another shutting down opposing receivers everywhere. Just a dream though. Hopefully ALL of our secondary will improve.

I hope so, but I won't hold my breath. I really don't think Hill is that talented, but hopefully Spagnoulo is more imaginative than our previous DC and is able to use schemes to make up for player's shortcomings.

Tye can definitely run, he's got that going for him. Injuries have taken him away from the experience he needs. If anyone can get this kid to improve his coverage skills i think Spags is the man. Don't forget, he's also got Justin King to tutor up and i like the way that sounds.

I think that fact that our DBs are going to have much less time they have to defend the receivers will tremendously improve the play of every DB, Tye Hill included.

Well I wouldn't say Pro Bowler, but I think he can improve him.


Hills got alot of potential, his size is the only thing that effects him. But I think Spagnuolo can coach him up to be a decent NFL CB.

The best thing he can do for Tye Hill is bring the Giants pass rush with him.

Hill has talent. He had a pretty good rookie year. He fell apart this year mentally I'm afraid and physically he's had a hard time staying on the field.

A lot of it will be up to Hill. He needs to work hard in the off season and he needs to get his confidence back. Spags should help and a good DB coach for once will help too. And, of course, that pass rush will mean a lot.

Same thing I was thinking. Improving the pass rush will also help, but Tye has the speed to stay with anyone in man coverage. You have to think he and a number of other Rams defenders are excited about this hiring.

I don't know about helping his cover skills, but supposedly Tim Lewis really destroyed Webster's confidence and Spagnuolo was instrumental in him regaining it. Hill and Webster were both very new to CB, so they have that in common too.

With a good Pass rush everyone in the secoandary looks better than they are. If Spags can develop Adenyanju and Long and get something out of Little and Hall coming of the bench. Tye Hill will look much better

Tye Hill was good enough to be named a starter his first 3 years, so IMO he has the ability to be a decent CB. His problems have to do with confidence and I'll bet Spagnuolo, who has been a defensive backfield specialist much of his coaching career, is just what the doctor ordered for Tye Hill.
