Care to go together to buy the Rams

Forbes values St. Louis Rams at $708 million

The St. Louis Rams current value increased by $106 million from last season to $708 million, up 17 percent from 2003, according to figures released Friday by Forbes magazine.

However, the local National Football League team dropped a spot in the rankings to No. 19 from No. 18 last year.

Forbes calculates the value of the teams based on its current stadium deal without deducting for debt, other than stadium debt. The complete list will appear in its Sept. 20 issue.

Forbes said the Rams 2003 revenue was $157 million, up from $150 million in 2002. The team's debt-to-value ratio is 14 percent, including stadium debt, and its operating income was $21.8 million.

The Washington Redskins again ranked No. 1 on the list, with a current value of $1.1 billion, up from $952 million last year. The Dallas Cowboys ranked No. 2, followed by the Houston Texans. The Arizona Cardinals, formerly of St. Louis, again had the lowest value at $552 million.

Forbes said the average team is worth $733 million, up 17 percent from last year.

In comparison, Forbes valued the St. Louis Cardinals Major League Baseball team at $314 million last year and ranked the National Hockey League's St. Louis Blues at $147 million.

Re: Care to go together to buy the Rams

Let's see here. $708 million X 51%(majority ownership)= $361,080,000
$361,080,000 / 1298(# of Clan members)= $278,181.82 per member

So there you go. Every member needs to pony up $278,181.82 and the Clan can be the majority owner of the Rams. I've got a $20 in my wallet. I'll go home and see what else I can pull out of the sofa cushions.

Hey!!!! I'll put my house up for sale, my family won't care (well I just won't tell them, that's why they have nothing to worry about). We can move in with mom and dad. Dad's a RAMS fan, he'll understand and might even donate!!! hehehe

Re: Care to go together to buy the Rams

Let me see now.

A £1 is worth around $5million so I recon I could get the Rams to move to Scotland for around £5,000 WOOT

Re: Care to go together to buy the Rams

Count me in. I will even do the legal work to effectuate the transaction. Upon consumation, we need to put a head shot of Dez in the Ring of Fame, along with inducting roman gabriel.

The biggest obstacle to this deal is that stan kroencke, who i believe owns 40% of the team, has a right of first refusal on georgias stock. Kroencke is married to one of sam waltons daughters, he of walmart fame. As a result, our little group is going to have trouble in a bidding war, even if dez mortgages Ram Castle and its moat, and the rest of us put up a couple of hundred thousand each.

ramming speed to all

No problem. I shop in her stores all the time. I'm sure she'll convince Stan to help out a loyal customer.
