    Carriker Back to DE?

We have La'Roi Glover and Clifton Ryan at DT who are pretty capable of playing the position and Carriker can play RE alongside Little who'll play LE.

The only issues I can see is how long La'Roi will be in the league and if he can play almost every down.

No, keep Carriker at DT. Glover is not an every down player, and Carriker has the size and run defending ability you want inside.

I don't see Glover back if you ask me. He had decent #'s, but it was towards the end of the season when it didn't matter anymore. I think he gets cut along with several others.
And the only way i see Carriker at DE is if the Rams switch to a 3-4. But that would be a tough front 3 with Carriker and Chris Long(if they draft him) at end with Ryan on the nose.

I don't expect Glover back either. I think he's had a decent career but it looks like it's over.

    .
There's no way Carriker should be at Nose Tackle. Def Tackle - Good. Nose Tacke - NO.

Nose Tackle is a waste of his abilities and he's too tall for that.

I don't think the Jury is out in any way - keep him away from the Nose tackle spot.

With the improvement of our run defense 2007 vs 2006, I would leave Carriker right where he is.

I'm hearing rumors that Linehan wants to convert Carriker and Ryan into a blocking TE's...

Exactly. Look at Glover this year compared to last, playing fewer downs (and playing alongside better players) helped him really elevate his game. Wroten cannot be depended upon for anything at this point. We need Carriker most in the middle, what we need in the end spot is someone with speed a real pass-rusher and we'll have to look to the draft for that (like we should have last year!).

Perfectly put. KEEP CARRIKER WHERE HE IS.

Regardless of how good Glover is, he's way up there in age. If he comes back next season, he'll be gone after the next. He did this Defense a great favor, but he's getting up there in age, he cannot play every down, but when he did, it was usually a good effort by him.

If it comes down to it, just switch our Glover and the back up everyonce in a while. Who ever the back up may be (Long or Ryan) it'll be a hard hitting player who has talent.
